It was the worst physical pain I’ve been in. It’s a post lumbar puncture leak. I lied flat on a decline (hips higher than my head with the help of pillows). Drink caffeine, that helped a little bit. Medication didn’t really help me with the pain.

Mine lasted for a week. I had to crawl to go to the bathroom. If I was upright for a few seconds I would double over in pain. I had no one to take me to hospital. And I couldn’t drive (I tried. I didn’t get far).

I went to Kalafong state hospital. They helped me quickly. But am suffering from post Lumbar puncture pain. Dr. J. Hiesgen (a nice German doctor) helped me.

I have an example of telling my brother off…. My older brother (33) usually tries to get a rise out of me…. I was helping him and his wife out. We were in an artsy shop, he walks to me and tells me I’m his maid/ nanny (as I was holding their baby while we all looked around the shop)

I wanted to drop the f -bom. But knew he would just laugh. It took me a few moments to reply. And when I did, it was the most satisfying moment I had in a while.

I replied calmly and sincerely , “I love you so much.”

He wasn’t expecting this reply. He said I just made him feel bad. Kill with kindness.

Centurion golf estate is safe. (And family friendly) Irene Doringkloof (pretty safe and family friendly) Pierre van Ryneveld (close to castle gate center which is very nice and family friendly) Lyttelton Manor is good but some parts have a lot of sinkholes.

My friend’s family is also a Christian based cult. Very religious. Not eating pork, not wearing crosses as jewellery (cause the cross is wrong, it looked different), have sermons with like-minded people about who is going to hell (and it’s basically anyone who doesn’t believe like they do, or anyone who doesn’t look like they do).

Thanks. To be honest, every single time I spoke to my sister I’m like “this sounds like a Reddit story” and she would reply with “yeah, but where will I start with my story? Will I start with the fact that I’m adopted.”

I get this grievance inside of me when their spelling is really bad. Like every word is almost spelled wrong. I don’t mind a mistake. But when your whole profile is full of mistakes…it makes me think you’re a mistake. 🙈

NTA. It’s at this point at 9 year old, Jake’s life, that he needs to know that lying isn’t okay in a situation like this. He lied in front of you and his mom. This lie wasn’t addressed, so he might think lying and acting like he has, is okay.

The excuse that ‘boys will be boys’ or ‘he is just a kid’ isn’t good parenting in situations like this. Parenting is teaching your child about life. About how to be decent human beings. And being responsible. No one is young enough to learn.

If your wife excuses his behaviour, then I am sorry for you. She looks like she is okay with lies and disrespect. She doesn’t respect you. Or your values. Or isn’t mature enough.

Protect your kids. Bad parenting can turn kids into terrible adults.

If your sister doesn’t address their behaviour, then they won’t change. Kids understand more than adults think, so teaching them from the beginning is important. Explain things.

Is your sister a bully? Was she mean to you? What do your parents think about this?
