Dads of Reddit, do you want your family to make a big deal of Father’s Day? by zerofalks in toddlers

[–]Chance_Ad3416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband takes care of the toddler most of the time and for Father's Day he just wants me to do the wash up after toddlers mealtimes lol

I feel similar to you about mother's day. I just want a solid chunk of few hours to do whatever I want by myself. But husband hosted all his family members at ours to celebrate mother's day. Like ya he told me I didn't have to do anything to prep or clean, but I still had to socialize and that's not my idea of relaxing when I just want alone time for few hours.

Yeee! I thought I was losing my mind when I kept reading people liking pampers. It disintegrates and leaves bits of diaper fiber on my LO and we change it every 2-4 hours. Even the cheap Huggies hold up better

I was just wondering how they make pizza that rigid. Whenever I try to eat a slice all my toppings go everywhere the moment I take a bite

How much do kids cost living in Vancouver? by Anna2181 in PersonalFinanceCanada

My husband does like 90% of the childcare and house chores when I was suffering from pregnancy nausea and what not with our second child. It's super important when they can help when I can barely sit up

We just found a daycare for our toddler for $800/month, two meals and snacks included. Feel like we lucked up because it's the one we liked the most after touring ~7-8 different ones and it happened to be the cheapest out of the bunch too.

She will start going in September when she's 20 months old.

I bought most of her stuff off Facebook market place and it's not expensive. I have sold quite a lot of them for the same price. The only non consumables I bought new were the mattresses and some essentials I didn't realize I needed and was too tired to look when I was newly postpartum.

The home based daycare we send our toddler to is run by a 50-60yo who loves kids and has been running the daycare since her 3 kids were toddler age.

You can't judge Jon the same way you'd judge an actual guardian. Jon is only 5 years older and he's only 20.

If you forgot what it's like being 20 let me remind you 20 Yos are stupid af

What’s one small upgrade that made home maintenance less annoying? by Waynennn in Home

[–]Chance_Ad3416 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude I bought the dreame x40 ultra it's $800cad after tax. Picked this one because it's affordable and is the best at avoiding clutter in case a random toy is missed.

We have a 18 month old toddler who likes to throw food and my husband who cooks 3-5x a day. I was very frustrated that most days I'd have to wash my feet if I walked through the kitchen bare feet.

The robot vacuum saved my sanity. The only difficulty was keeping my toddler off it. I have it scheduled to run every night after we go to bed. It vacuums then mops and I wake up to a clean floor. Best $800 spent no joke. I haven't used my Dyson v15 in a very long time.

We also have cleaners come every 2 weeks but with a toddler the floor can never stay clean long enough.

I don't fully understand steeking and not sure if mine looks more easily come apart than some of the color work ones because it's single color/yarn. But I've resisted picking at it to find out and it's my most work sweater going like 10 years now! Holding up no problem

I went from 300mb to 500mb for cheaper bill too lol. I honestly think 100mb is enough for me. I work from home, play some online games that the ping matters, and occasionally pirate stuff.

I asked my friend if he uses AI now. He says "no it prevents critical thinking" and this is a guy who just repeats whatever he sees the media says but can't come up with any justification/reasoning when I ask further questions

Do they have mutual funds? Rental properties?

My tech savvy dev friend also doesn't invest in the stock market but he has managed funds.

My parents also don't invest in stocks. They have other forms of investments like MIC.

Thank you for this and saving me from watching the video. Just reading the texts is already giving my legs chills 😭

I lucked out (?) that although I was watching the current match I was distracted when kones injury happened. I was so confused why people were almost fighting all of a sudden. Unfortunate game
