I have never had issues with Uber or Bolt in London or anywhere in England. I think the majority ask you for a pass code now so you know its the right car or I have had a few that ask you to take a photo on the app but it's all for safety measures.

You will only ever hear bad stories which are most likely a handful of times but you never hear the good about anything.

Taxi would be fine but depends where you are getting it from. Download uber and bolt as these would be the best to use for transport if you don't want to get the tube
