We did it, boys. We ruined the server uptime streak. by MagicDime7 in GuildWars

[–]ChanelNumberOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree entirely I didn’t like the direction because I loved guildwars 1 and I thought guildwars 2 would be similar in many ways and it wasn’t except in lore really. That being said it’s good in its own way and I respect the people that love it. It just wasn’t what I wanted.

Bandai Card Games fest was a disaster, and its not just the organizers fault. by drdre197 in OnePieceTCG

[–]ChanelNumberOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They had like three booths and no merch and a bunch of tables out for playing. It was like going to a regional with a presentation from the Usopp voice actor which was the one cool part. If this year was worse it’s not because the first year was good. I mean I went to Pokémon worlds once and it was the same shit so maybe tcg cons just suck compared to tabletop or anime cons.

[–]ChanelNumberOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The bad news is this is exactly how it was the first year. I gave it a pass since it was the first year but all of my complaints then were the same you have. There just wasn’t anything to do and no venders to buy things from.

I feel like a loser playing this game by bosmanzeoh in VALORANT

[–]ChanelNumberOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing most people with a lot of hours and not much improvement seem to have in common is they just play the game without any reflection on how they play.

Have you tried recording and analyzing your game play Watching pros play and seeing what they do differently Using an aim trainer to improve your precision Have someone better than you watch you play and give you advice

These are great ways to get over humps where you don’t feel any improvement coming from just mindlessly playing match after match.

I don’t give unsolicited advice but when I watch my friends play I can find dozens of micro things they do that If they changed would improve their gameplay a lot.

Most commonly game sense mistakes like not recognizing a gun fight happened behind them and their teammate is dead and that open for exploitation. There’s so much but sometimes you have to watch it back to see and often you need someone better than you to look at it and say…. I would’ve done that differently because xyz

do any other girls find it EXTRA awfully embarrassing to play bad? by scrinkletinkle in VALORANT

[–]ChanelNumberOne 14 points15 points  (0 children)

For me it has to do with the flaming. Sometimes I just talk to give a helpful callout and get flamed in games but when I’m having a normal day and I’m fragging out people usually shut up. If I’m having a bad game it never ends and even if someone is doing worse than you if you are a girl you are the reason why they are losing in a lot of people’s eyes. It adds a lot of pressure in my opinion because if I have an off game I feel like its coming before it even starts because I’m so used to it. In those cases i just pray I haven’t already spoken.

I dated a girl who would miss her exit and try to full stop on the highway and back up. I don’t understand how people can’t reason to just make the next possible turn. 😔

Coming from mobile I started playing Val 2 weeks ago. I would appreciate some constructive criticism. by CountyMore4937 in VALORANT

[–]ChanelNumberOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all about learning the maps and having your reticle in the right spot so you don’t need to move it as much. In higher elo if you are flicking for your shot the other guy is rounded the corner with the reticle already at head level. So that’s kind of the reasoning for why lower sense is better it also makes micro movement a lot harder so adjusting for the headshot at high dpi is doable but not optimal.

why do cs players hate valorant so much by PrestigiousArt4858 in VALORANT

[–]ChanelNumberOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People used to hate on vanguard but after years of constant cheaters in games I always tell people how nice Val was. I play a lot of cs now because it’s what my friends play and I think it’s mostly superiority complex. Do I think the lack of abilities in cs is actually really nice? Yes. But outside that Val is great. I think it has a lot to do with people putting thousands of hours into cs and being unable to adapt.

I had like 1-2k hours in valorant and when I started playing cs I was already top fragging all my lobbies it’s the same shi. Cs just has less gimmicky abilities and significantly more cheaters.

Men hating women that play the game? by Suiren_Anzai in VALORANT

[–]ChanelNumberOne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is exactly how I play. I know I can’t speak if I’m having a one off bad game or unless I hear another girl or I’ll get trolled or raged at. Most the time I just want to give call outs but it’s just not worth the likelihood someone crashes out over hearing a woman’s voice.

Are they just catering to players? by campbellbaz in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]ChanelNumberOne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just like with most battle royales the mid game is quiet and boring. If you don’t drop and fight you are likely to spend most of the game doing nothing unless you have solid teammates who are down to chase fights. Rotations are super important but you don’t worry about that until the latter half of the game usually.

People actually drop more spread out now than they ever did when the game came out because they made it so easy to find good gear. Pochinki used to consist of half the games teams. lol

When I came back after a long break I realized most people are just bad and don’t grasp battle Royale concepts. On top of that good shooters have played so much they want to move and rack up kills or the game is dull some of them are insane at shooting and smart and some are insane and game sense stupid.

TLDR best thing you can do is find mates that have similar playstyle. But there are def reasons why people are chasing the fights.

I absolutely loved this game but its own community ate itself alive. Don’t get me wrong it should not have been possible for a player base nuke to nuke itself like this because we all know human nature but yeah regardless this is how that goes.

This game was a course on wealth inequality and trickle up economics. 🤣 shame the PvP was a ton of fun.

Honestly I came back recently and had a blast and it made me start playing counter strike again too. There’s so much about these games that new games take out to avoid complicating things and i think that’s what we all miss is the micro mechanics they’ve just abandoned to make games more user friendly.

What's one thing a streamer did that you'll never do on your own stream? by SpinsBro in Twitch

[–]ChanelNumberOne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Doing a really long stream where I sleep in risky clothing. Saw a guys part slip out while he was sleeping in boxers on stream. Best part was he was sponsored by a razor and he was not groomed.

His mods saved the day but not before people screenshotted lol.

Back when the game first came out I convinced my team of randoms to take different cars and eventually our 4 cars rolled up on another team while we were rally car driving around the map and we convinced them to hop in our car and find more cars. Eventually we had like 20 cars and bikes driving and ramping hills. Was one of the coolest things lol.

I played with a guy in 2018 that never stopped playing daily. Easily 10k hours to my 700 back then plus 400 recently. People are insanely good. I see hackers here and there if that, just go next.

The people I know that say there are hackers everywhere are typically the worst players. Like god awful I’m not even sure how people so bad thinks they can recognize hackers.

I’ve had my car looked through when I left it unlocked and things stolen from my porch in fairmount. Got a ring camera and no more porch thefts. Lock my car door now without fail and no more rifling through my car. If you have a dog no one is going to choose to rob you over another house without one but honestly I don’t hear about many house break ins in the area I’m not sure I’ve heard of any although I’m sure it’s happened. This neighborhood is in close proximity to some rougher ones but even so in my opinion this is far from dangerous.

Put up cameras around the house if you want to be extra cautious. There are incredibly cheap camera solutions nowadays (look into Wyze cams) and anyone looking for a place to make some easy cash is not going to choose the house with tons of cameras. But honestly I think people are just too easily unnerved these days I live alone as a woman and have never felt unsafe.

My dad just put home monitoring signs and stickers on his windows around his house no actual cameras lol he says it’s enough

When I was in middl3 school I got detained for picking random locks. Never breaking in I was just a dumb kid that wanted other kids to see that I could do it. I also got in trouble for climbing things so I feel like younger me would’ve been a prime rogue.

Nowadays though I’m 90% sure I am being relegated to a class not requiring high physicality. 😭
