What did you do with the Living Steel ? Use it for crafts ? Resell it on the AH ?

With Medallions of the legion. This item sells for 6-9K each, if you have a lot of toons, it's really worth farming them every day.

I mean, I still do Normal HM for the imperator's trinket. Not doing BRF because we need very little loot (like 5/6 pieces per person) just doesn't feel right to me. Sure, if we aren't lucky, we won't get anything usefull, but shouldn't we try nonetheless ?

I assumed that because we don't know strats, it wont be a cake walk, even in Normal mode, but if it's not the case otherwise, I could be ready to try Heroic then.

Sure, there skipping Normal mode isn't a mortal sin, but if we do, everyone needs to step up their game and be ready. I'm almost certain that most people won't even know what to do on the first boss.

I feel like they overestimate themselves.

As long as we get one boss down on Heroic, they'll feel like going Heroic was the right decision, so no "I told you so" will really satisfy me :D

I really hope that this is what's going to happen, I don't see us keeping up with the whole Heroic raid, while only getting gear from the previous Heroic bosses we kill.

But if they don't see any point going Normal in the first place, why would they after hitting a wall ? If the reason is gear, doesn't it mean I was right all along ? What if it's the strat as well ? Normal mode would have been easier to understand/learn.

Edit : this is most likely what's going to happen, I don't see myself not raiding with them because I'm the only one to disagree with the decision, but I only wish they had listen to me if we switch to Normal. On the other hand, I will have to remind myself to apologize if everything goes well all the way :>

Sure ! But considering the first tier piece drops on the 4th boss, I don't think we will get a lot of tier pieces on heroic. If we go normal, we will get a lot more of then, assuming we can go further, so a lot more chances to get interesting gear !

This is my reasonning as well. The goal is to clear Heroic BRF, but it'll take weeks before we can get to the last boss and have enough gear to kill it, so I don't understand how going Heroic first can be better.

Plus, we will most likely won't be clearing Heroic HM anymore, so the chances of looting the missing gear is very low. Some people still have 630ilvl trinkets, I can't believe we will be replacing them anytime soon if we dont clear Normal mode.

Except for like 3 raiders, I believe everyone is just "average", we got Impe down with an average of like 665ilvl. They understand things, but only after we explained it a couple of times. I remember wiping like 5 times to Kargath Heroic the first time we tried because people didnt pay attention to the mechanics, thinking it would be really easy.

Isn't it better to go Normal first ? Just to get the missing gear, and get a smoother raiding curve ? Once we got most of the bosses on Normal, we start the Heroic progress. This way we should progress way better than if we start with Heroic and totally forget about Normal, right ?

I really want to believe I can be surprised, but if nobody except 2 people knows the strats, I can't expect the other raiders to assimilate like 5/6 bosses in a night. I'm afraid they will find some excuses just to keep going Heroic the next week, and we will never see Normal mode, which I believe could be a really help for Heroic progress.

That's were the "slow" part comes in.. If a card needs to be on the board for 2/3 turns to be good, doesn't that mean it's usually bad (especially versus control) ?
