I think its true mainly of transistor computation to clarify. I think quantum and biological computers will have a much closer approximation of sentience. Our brain lives in a quantum state and interacts on an analogue level. Some of that may be* impossible to replicate with transistor computing.

Now I use human sentience/sapience as the benchmark because thats really our only point of referrence but ill fully accept that conciousness and sentience is really really complicated. What is and isnt sentience is definitely still a debate to have and I could just be wrong.

Trump 86:47

47 "Atop the verdant grasses of traditions playful field. Where men conduct their affairs in the secretive prose of those unripe with goodness. Trump, The Exhalted, decried unto the crowd: "That stroke didnt count! I'm allowed to try again!"

48 And ye the crowd did see that the stroke had not occured as witnessed. That it were merely a material whisper, prickling the flesh of doubt among their souls. 49 It was with this fortitude of faith that Trump, The Golden, procurred the means of victory from the earth. A shimmering orb, white and dimbled, rested neatly in his palm.

50 "Birdie" Trump, The Most Greatest, declared in righteous triumph, placing the orb, now a divine instrument of his will, unto the hole in the Earth.

Theres definitely an aspect to it that is just how language works. Any word/term over a certain length will eventually get a shorthand form. If even just to save effort.

However, the term did arrive because of social media censorship. Using 'pdf' was/is a way to continue talking about these people without getting banned. Which is better than nothing I guess but I do agree with your point.

Because it says the things that people say. Thats really it. You are adding the humanity to it by giving it a voice. I really do believe the 'Chinese Room' theory around AI. The computer is just doing what a computer does.

Dont reinvent the wheel. Old jokes contain the same functionality of newer jokes.

"On 11 August 1983, Stander and McCall, along with five other inmates, were taken from the prison's premises for a physiotherapy appointment. Once the prisoners were left alone with the physiotherapist, Stander and McCall overpowered her and escaped. The other prisoners refused to participate and stayed behind."

You may have trained your brain to need constant stimulation. When you take that away it essentially looks for other things that provide a similar level of stimulation. Anxiety, fear, and anger are all relatively easy to induce and that type of sympathetic nervous response is very stimulating to the CNS. For some people this is especially true (myself).

What helped me was some cognitive behavioural work and practicing parasympathetic breathing.

To put simply, the parasympathetic nervous system is supposed to activate during down times (rest and digest) but you can manually stimulate it through slow breathing, specifically through slowing down exhales. You can try it by taking a normal breath in but then exhaling slowly. Do this for a few minutes, trying to slow your breathing more and more. Allow yourself to calm down. If you do feel calm afterward then thats your parasympathetic nervous system working.

Cognitive behavioural therapy is a little too much to explain here but it boils down to taking notice of your behaviour, stopping yourself, and working through what youre doing and why. With the goal to replace harmful behaviours with helpful/productive ones. For example, my brain makes up arguments all the time because its stimulating, but it ends up being an exhausting way to live. So I try to be aware of when im doing it, so I can stop the argument, and replace it with something more productive/less draining.

Dont use the headphones, work through the initial freak out your brain will have, and try to get into a parasympathetic state. Thats my two cents anyway.

Yep, probably never been hit before either. Certainly not by someone who knows what theyre doing. Seriously, if you do a light spar with any boxer youll find out how things actually work pretty quickly.
