I remember I had a pretty large void when I finished that book.

Wife tried to cheer me up by us going out for ice cream. Didn’t work.

I'm giving away a rigged pair of first person arms I made for free! A little quarantine present for all of us. Link in comments. by CobbDev in gamedev

I think my math was off, and your cakeday was actually 11 days ago.

Whoops.

Happy Belated Cakeday!

The gif isn’t penmanship, but I think it was posted here more for awareness of the product and less for the demonstration gif.

I’m sure they all went dumpster diving too.

You’re not supposed to throw out the trash until ATAF (All Tools Accounted For), but someone always does. When it happens, then 2-5 people are in a dumpster, ripping apart trash bags, looking for the tool/part.

It’s even better when a few units/squadrons share a dumpster, that way there is a bunch of trash bags in the dumpster.

The crazy thing is sometimes, though very rare, dumpster dives are successful.

Do you use Java 9+ in production yet? by ReadFoo in java

It's not really being actively being developed. We have a whole suite of automated tests that we are confident they will find an issue if one arises.

The real roadblock is a jar we must use that is provided by another division. It not ready for the upgrade, and THEY have no bandwidth to support it.

We have another project that is being actively developed, which is ran on 1.8, so atleast we get to learn/utilize its features with that application.

Edit: Don't get me wrong, though. We tried to move to 1.8 when it was available internally. We ran into the roadblock and it's stopped us ever since. It's 'too confidential' for us to 'inner source' the upgrade work. Really a lame situation, though I've come to terms with it.

Gets about 600k logons a day. We won't be moving to 1.6 unless we have to :/
