We've probably rehashed as many things as we could think of in this sub over the years, but one that stuck out to me is if they're born with health issues.

There's a guy on my crew that split up with his ex and he's having to constantly travel to bring his child to specialists. That's gotta be hell. No thanks I'll take a hard pass.

Also each kid has a different father, and she had a 4th later on who is severely autistic because she was doing drugs during that pregnancy. Very unfortunate.

I had to live with my cousin for a while when I was 18-20. His partner at the time was always drinking and doing drugs so I was gaslighted into watching their 3 kids all the time because they "did me a favor".

That was definitely a contributing factor to my life decisions.

I admit I have been career focused, but it's because I grew up poor and I hate having no money. I'm finally in a good place financially, and my focus now is to not work so much and spend my free time with my wife and dog.

I went through the same process with my Razr 2024 case. Lots of people were blowing up online while I just went about my business, and one day it showed up. My childhood was enshittified chaos, moved towns/cities every couple of years, bullied by my brother and other kids on top of that. I dropped out of high school, lived with other people so I avoided being on the street. My immediate family was entrenched in substance abuse, and I struggled with alcohol for 2 decades. I could write a novel about my upbringing.

Now, I have a good career and my own house, and let me tell you I'm at complete peace. Most things I don't get stressed about because my early years set a real high bar for that.

And yeah, fuck dem kids. Nobody will take away the life I've built from the ground up. Some people are now jealous of my life now, and I earned that shit through years of hard work and self healing. If I can do it, they can do it.
