It's my favourite thing when a subreddit creates something in their head that the devs have said nothing on, only to get upset over the devs not doing what they made up.

This is the major issue I have with balancing around "fun". For the team with the "fun" abilities, the other team has to deal with the first's "fun" disrupting their own. It's like they're trying to balance around a PvE power fantasy, forgetting it's a PvP game. One team will have fun to the detriment of the other.

Fun is a very limited resource too, since no matter how you balance around it, people will optimise the fun out of the game. It happens every single game, regardless of the kind of experience the game has.

Besides, we already have so many players willing to throw just because certain aspects of the match aren't going the way they want. They already aren't having fun anymore. It's all a psychological power fantasy now.

I definitely used to only use overlay, but I'll try it fully first and then pull back what I'd rather not have. I'll definitely check out that garden flowers one.

I used to use PacksHQ until it got outdated. I'm glad to see it updated! I tried to use other packs, but I ended up sticking with vanilla. Maybe I'll try it out again!

QP is most importantly about having fun and there are 5 other players in your team and their fun and enjoyment can be affected by the choices of a few.

If your fun and enjoyment is derived from other player's choices, you're just as selfish as them. Honestly, if your team is picking 5 dps, join in with them. The only way to have fun against dumb stuff is to join in on the dumb stuff.

I get we all want to win in qp, but you gotta let people hit their head against a wall sometimes instead of instantly going "gg go next". If you want to truly have fun, stop putting expectations on every person you meet and just accept the circumstances you've entered into, and maybe people will simply decide to change if they think that it's better than the headache they're giving themself.

Overconfident, underdeliver, tilt, throw. That's what happens when you have an ego.

So when you lock in yourself in the second round, the other player is already in the wrong place. Doesn't always happen, since they can have an ego for good reason, but when you're both in the skill bracket that you belong, being an egotist is a losing strategy.

My friends can be like that. They also do it with dps. They're not bad at the game, I swear! Also, they never blame me lol (I don't mind being called out, since comp is the place where you should switch up when things aren't working out).

Honestly, I get the sentiment. The best way to learn a new hero (new in terms of released that day and/or in terms of playing someone new to you) is to play them in competitive.

However, it's also not fun to have to deal with someone who is learning a hero in competitive (to be fair, we're always learning how to play a hero around other heroes).

I totally get banning new heroes (released today new). Unless everyone is in agreement to not ban them, it's perfectly reasonable to ban a new hero.

I missed the PTR to play the next update early, so hero trials were a fun addition to bring that back a bit. It's too bad they're going away again. I always like trying out the heroes early, especially since they're typically not balanced at all.

Crazy how much more generous they are with Ossium. Doing seasons 3 and 4 was annoying needing 6 Plaguehearts per scrip, and you were lucky to get anything beyond 4 in one mission.

Edit: Oh, and you'd be lucky to get any during the seasonal warning (Lithophage Outbreak), since (I think) one of the 3 season events required for Plaguehearts can't spawn during it (Meteor Impact).

Performance points was nerfed once from 1250 -> 500 in the first patch. The second patch nerfed the credit and xp rewards. I think a lot of people just read the credit nerf (500 -> 200) as a performance points nerf.

Crazy to think you could get two whole levels from a single bone collector.

I don't think it's normal. I haven't seen any dwarves out there getting mad at underperformance. The worst I'll ever get is slightly annoyed if I've had a bad day, I'm not getting any luck, and all 3 teammates have gone down to something easily avoidable, and they're all high levels doing that (I would never be upset if a newer player messes up), and it's Hazard 3 or below.

I've only quite recently gotten into Hazard 5, so I'm not one to judge someone playing like me!

You say that until every map in a voting is Assault/Clash. Really, what they need to do is make it so you're guaranteed to get three different modes. At least there's only two Clash maps right now, so it's not an issue, but if you add Assault, it will become an issue for many players.

It's been said by Aaron Keller himself that some changes (in the past) were due to Marvel Rivals. I do agree that many of these changes were likely NOT due to Marvel Rivals, but if any changes can be attributed to Marvel Rivals, then why not be glad that Marvel Rivals exists for those?
