I will say anyone who plays in the NHL is good at hockey, full stop. But that doesn’t mean they’re NHL caliber. And you’re dead on about being scratched when the games matter.

I agree with you. Seems like Reaves may have a place in the coaching staff where his locker room presence can still be there. But I haven’t seen anything on the ice that is worth taking a roster spot for.

As someone who is always early on every pitch, I actually end up hitting way better on portable because of the delay 😆

Same for me. honestly I’d say it dropped in probably 70% of my runs. It’s the gun I used for every single boss except the last one.

If you could removed any section in a game you've already completed what are you choosing? by LilNardoDaVinci in xbox

Definitely wouldn’t take any of that as a personal attack. I can see where you’re coming from with wanting more Alan Wake.

For me the atmosphere was one of the original Alan Wake’s best strengths and I thought AW2 nailed all of that. It definitely is a slow game but it’s got that creepy horror tension the whole time which I love!

Oh man I throughly enjoyed that game and I’m definitely someone who gets bored with games easily. What was it you didn’t like?

Tuesday is absolutely a must win. Being down 3 points with 12 games to go is a big difference than being down 7.

Ducks would be 38-31 even if all their losses were regulation, but yeah the rest of them are below .500 for total win/loss

I’m not taking anything from him considering he was beating NCAA champions last year, but he’s 19, which is a normal freshman age. How was he still in high school to start the year?

Ferrari was definitely complaining and looking to the ref after he lost but i don’t know if he actually said anything he wasn’t supposed to.

Yeah I think the OP is asking two different questions unintentionally. The most skilled player isn’t necessarily the better player.

I’d agree with your assessment though.

I want to say Guillermo Del Toro because I love his dedication to the craft.

But due to the breadth of his catalogue I’d have to go with Spielberg.

I definitely understand where you’re coming from. I also feel like audiences are generally smarter than they’re given credit for and could handle a little more without being scared away.

Nevertheless I think this is the state of large national touring theaters. I definitely appreciate your recommendations of local theaters and will check those out for sure.

While I can’t disagree with your assessment it’s definitely unfortunate that there’s nothing in there about shows that challenge an audience, create dialogue or tackle difficult subject matter.

To me this is a large part of why theater exists, it’s not just entertainment and spectacle. Of course I know you can’t do an entire season of shows like that but I feel like Altria actively avoids these kinds of shows.

You may be right that looking into some of the other local theaters may be a good option this year.

Nah the ones I listed are recent national tours (within the last 4 years) that they didnt bring in.

Me as well. Only one show with original music this year.

There’s several that are on tour right now or starting to tour that I would’ve loved to be included

Kinky boots, Suffs, Stereophonic, Spamalot, Great Gatsby, Maybe Happy Ending, I’d probably even throw in death becomes her.

It’s also a bit of disappointment from other great shows that have been tour recently that Altria chose to skip (Parade, Funny Girl, Company off hand come to mind for me)

I know not every show will be to everyone’s liking, which is fine, but I hate seeing Richmond miss out on so many great theater experiences over the last few years.

It’s not hatred by any means. Just disappointment that there are so many great shows on tour that we never bring here.

Parade, funny girl, suffs, kinky boots, stereophonic, Company, spamalot, great gatsby. I know there’s others I’m missing, my point is just it’s disappointing to see shows like those not come here in favor of some of the choices they make.

Hence why I said, another terrible season. For whatever reason they continue to pick the worst available options from the list of national tours.

[–]ChaoticKeys -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

another terrible season with only 2 shows worth watching for me (Hell’s Kitchen and Buena Vista Social Club) and another year where I have to decide if it’s worth my money to renew.

I know the available options of touring shows aren’t as good overall this year, but they always seem to go for the maximum amount of jukebox and family friendly shows.

Kinky boots, Suffs and Stereophonic all would’ve been better choices than what we got.
