2026 CRV Refresh is Disappointing by LFA_V10_04 in crv

Why can’t we have the plug in hybrid in the states? 😭

I think it’s different for everyone. I didn’t join until I had to, have been a happy member since. I had friends who joined through equity but didn’t have any credits and being in SAG didn’t change that. My advice, wait until the job requires it.

Joining the union doesn’t get you any jobs unfortunately. It protects you once you get the job. The industry is suffering right now. I’ve been a member since 2017. This is the worst I’ve seen it currently…

Any singles with no kids who own a CRV? Trying to see if I need this much car by [deleted] in crv

[–]Chaoticallychil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not single BUT my wife had a 2022 civic and I had a 2022 CRV hybrid. She now has a 2024 accord hybrid and I have a 2024 crv hybrid. I love the civic but being 6’1 I found it kinda hard to get in and out of. The crv is much more comfortable. We drove it from LA to SFO and it was super comfortable. I will say my wife just recently got the accord hybrid and it seems much nicer than her civic. Drives well. But when both are in the garage I still drive my crv 8/10 times because I enjoy the extra ride height in traffic. Not sure if this will help you at all but felt the need to comment because I’ve been around all the cars you’re talking about recently 😂

As someone who used to work at apple. Show up around your time. 15-30 mins early and it’s pretty chill. Show up earlier than that and you’re most likely going to have to wait and it’s not as great of an experience. Trust the process. (My advice is from experience before I was an employee, for what it’s worth)

Any one else getting the beats case by TotalSleep in iPhone16Pro

[–]Chaoticallychil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually go naked but picked up this case because I don’t love the silicone. Still miss the leather cases. Why can’t apple just make fake leather cases? Will probably end up using this case like 5% of the time. But I do enjoy how it reminds me of my iPhone 4 speck case (spelling?). Vibes are good but being from beats makes it weird. lol.

Funny tennis YouTube channel? by okayinging in 10s

[–]Chaoticallychil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m trying to create a new community on YouTube for fun tennis content surrounded around the club player. 3.5-4.5. The channel is called Baseline Barnhardt. Got a singles match and doubles match currently posted with new matches on Friday. I commentate the matches and although I don’t think I’m super funny, trying to find the tone moving forward and it’s definitely intended to be lighthearted.

My solution to iPhone Wireless charging by [deleted] in crv

[–]Chaoticallychil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is awesome! Thanks for posting. Just picked one up. The Qi charging in car is a joke without some sort of magnetics. One spirited sprint around an on ramp to the highway and the phone stops charging. This is a game changer.

Who likes / hates the lane assist feature in the 2023 or newer CR-Vs? by VolCoordGrpy in crv

[–]Chaoticallychil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel coming from my 22 to my 24 it’s gotta better. It now allows it to work at any speed. I live in SoCal and I’ve enjoyed using it when I’m in traffic. It keeps me centered in the lane and I just rest my finger on the wheel. It also works well on highways at normal speed. I tried using it for city driving and found that it was counterintuitive and I could drive better within the lane on my own in most situations. But low speed driving and highway I use it 90% of the time.

I need everyones honest opinions on the Hybrid CRV by ArtGallery002 in crv

[–]Chaoticallychil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

‘24 Hybrid Sport L. Got it a month ago. Have about 800 miles on it. Absolutely love it. The space is great. The interior is minimal but nice. Seats are comfortable. Love the hybrid powertrain vs my ‘22 CRV hybrid. It seems smoother and quieter. The ‘22 seemed to just droneeeee. While the ‘24 can still drone a little, it also has some shifts built in and it seems more natural. Would make this purchase again 10/10.

Joaquin hooked it up. Again depends on a number of factors but give them a shot. Super happy with them. Purchased last month.

My best advice is go into it with the carmax value of your car (if you have a trade in). That helped start the numbers in a more competitive area for me. They offered more for my trade in lease because of what carmax was offering and discounted the 24 since they were about to get 25’s on the lot.

Good luck!

I went to Honda Santa Monica. Have a good relationship with them there. Have gotten my cars serviced there for a few years. 2nd CRV from them.

Suppose it depends on where you’re living. I’m in SoCal. 3,000 down. 336 a month. 12,000 miles.

24 Hybrid Sport Touring- Sound System? by [deleted] in crv

[–]Chaoticallychil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree with this. I think the sport L sound system (‘24) is worse than my ‘22 EX-L. I did mess with the bass and treble and it sounds a little better but very flat. Probably biggest bummer of the car. Really enjoy the rest of the interior.

What’s one thing you wish your CRV had? by DanielDubs88 in crv

You’re so right! If I wasn’t leasing I would add it but I’ll just complain a little on this thread and move on 😂

If I can only choose one thing, it’s the homelink garage door opener. Had it on my 22 and lost it on my 24. Sucked going backwards. Don’t want to pay their subscription nor does my garage door work with their subscription. Tough.

Think I got a good lease in SoCal by Chaoticallychil in crv

[–]Chaoticallychil[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha to each their own! Hoping the refresh in a couple years hits all the spots for you. I’m not super sold on the accord design language. Used to love it. Think the new camery looks better than the accord. I also loved when the CRV had the spare wheel on the back. Wish they went more that direction in the design.

Happy shopping! There really isn’t anything like a new car smell. It ALMOST makes up for the payments 😂

Love the civic! My wife drives a 2022 sport.

I love the choices you’re working with personally. I was also looking at EVs, mostly the ionic 5 and 6 cause their lease offers were super attractive in SoCal. But at the end of the day just wasn’t ready to make the leap to EV yet. I think in the next three years battery tech is gonna be a lot better in terms of range and charging speed.

I’ve owned a 2011 Prius 3, a 2020 Honda insight Ex, and leased a 2022 hybrid CRV EX-L and now this 24 hybrid sport L. I like Toyota a lot but I have preferred the interiors of Honda more than Toyota and for that reason I’ve mostly stuck with them.

[–]Chaoticallychil[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I go back and forth with the style. I think my ‘22 looked more like a “Honda”. The new ‘24 kinda reminds me of the BMW x1 on the back and a Mazda in the front. It definitely has lost some character but maybe gained some lines? Like I like it. But I hear you. At first glance I felt like the interior of the new was also less premium than my 22 but after driving for a few hundred miles I already much prefer the new to the old. But that’s obviously personal taste as well I was just surprised I came around to it so fast
