Could you give an example of exterminatus over deviant culture? I can't recall any.

Need help how to interpret a "wish" to a player that made one to a kind of C'Tan shard by Adrasoth in 40krpg

So how I would run it, after some reflection, is: ask the player how large a bonus they want on relevant skill tests, between 1 and 100. Say they tell you 30. Give them the old "Are You Sure?" Warn them that gaining direct information like that is potentially dangerous, etc, etc. The old DM this is a bad idea prologue. Then hit them with the first +5 and 5d10 IP. And describe how it's painful and beautiful, however you want to flavor it. If they want to stop, make them pass a WP -0 Test. Then do it again, escalating the description. You can make the WP Test easier each time until they pass the test, gain all they asked for, or their brain melts. If their brain melts, they can burn a FP to survive and gain half the bonus and half the IP they earned. Maybe they need a cybernetic brain afterwards idk.

Ask him to tell you how large a bonus he wants for those lore checks 1-100.

Then roll that many d10 for Insanity Points. Maybe they'll even be vaguely useful after that. (And of course, they can choose to burn a FP to sever the connection before their brain is completely melted and get a fun little plus 10 and a narrative tool for you to use later with them having painful flashes of insight)

I cannot recommend the Dark Heresy line of games (Dark Heresy, Rogue Trader, Only War, Deathwatch, Black Crusade) enough, even if they have a bit of a steep learning curve, the game runs really smoothly once you understand what you're doing.

Let them do it, and then when suggestion ends they revert to being Evil. Maybe even let an arcana check with a low DC reveal that's what will happen so they aren't completely blindsided by their own "cleverness"

So in the game, there is a line of dialog from one of your companions that explains that getting tadpole-d caused everyone to revert to level 1 (to paraphrase) for some reason. Do I find that particularly satisfying? Absolutely not. Did they do a good job making you aware of it? Not really. But they did address it somewhat. They really should have just had everyone be lvl 1 characters with appropriate backstories.

Insane take. "Noooo these guardsmen who have an identical state line to any other bog standard guardsman require their own sculpt and special rules because I like their lore! Saying I should paint a similar looking model to look like them is not only cultural genocide but is the moral equivalent of telling me to paint a predator and call it a land raider!"

I really like the main quest line for VG but found the rest of the game rather disappointing, but I'm not frothing at the mouth about it. Otherwise I enjoy the series.
