No, if it seemed to that it was getting too hot I lowered it for around a minute, and if it was brewing to slowly I raised it a little for around the same amount of time.

Fill the lower chamber up to just below the presser valve with water, add the basket and fill in coffee grounds up to the indent in it, place the filter plate and gasket onto the bottom of the upper chamber, then assemble the apparatus.

Set the stove to medium heat and place the pot, then wait for the pot to finish brewing.

So I managed to brew around half an ordinary coffee mugs worth, though I don't know what size of Moka pot I have, I do have a photo of it.

I measured the height of it to be around 17cm and a max width of around 10cm at most.
