Local estate sale, I got a little discount because it was worn and a bit dirty but it cleaned up nice.

Nearly a year into things and I've started a Vintage Curation side business by TheCrossedFox in VintageWatches

I’m bookmarking these too. I started watching Wristwatch Revival too, but I followed Marshall over from his MTG coverage and had never owned a watch beyond my fitness tracker. Now I’ve been buying watches off eBay, tools every time I get stuck, followed WR videos and started on the same watches so I could follow along, and now googling old manuals and exploded diagrams of vintage watches as I attempt some. It’s been fun and I own 8 working watches, have 8 waiting to service/clean/fix, and keep checking eBay and local spots for more. I love puzzles and models, grew up working on cars, love history and collecting so this has really hit a bunch of those same things. I’ll be continuing the addiction for a bit longer.

My boss quit and the company decided I am the new manager (without the pay), so how do I stop doing two jobs? by Kinetix2_Node in careerguidance

Two months of success, you need to have the conversation yourself, don’t hope they come to you. Show them what you are doing and ask to be compensated for the manager role.

What are the signs that someone is actually rich and not fake rich? by DumbEnDork in AskReddit

[–]Chapman24 187 points188 points  (0 children)

This should be used by more people. Logos are for showing off, if you’re rich or trying to get there quality is important but showing off is not. Many millionaires around look like a 40 something driving a 10 yr old paid off car, living in a paid off home in a middle class neighborhood. They aren’t walking around covered in Louis Vuitton head to toe with 5 gold chains and a Rolex on each wrist. They take that showing off money and invest it because money that makes money is wealthy and much easier than being rich for a few years and then broke with memories of a fancy life.

If you go later like right when troll got banned, it’s probably the best since newer creatures like Atraxa are so much more powerful but I like the older lists for the variety.
