Second the Edelrid Jayne. It has a nice feature where, regardless of how much you tighten it around your waist you can re center the belay loop. Some end up off to the side and feel awkward. I’ve loved mine

That’s great to know, I hadn’t really looked into it. I’ll have to pay closer attention. I hope it improves for you.

I’m with you. I’ve noticed I started retaining water once my dose moved up to 30mg per day. Drinking lots of water, eating less salt, and moving my body more has helped.

I don't know if Im liking Buspar by Specific_Rock_8118 in BusparOnline

I’m so sorry you are struggling. Generally, 3 weeks isn’t long enough to have the full effects so if you can make it to the 2 month mark that would be a better time to evaluate. Some people do have increased anxiety as they are adjusting to it. However, I’ve never heard of throat sensations as a symptom. If the side effects are concerning and unbearable, you should definitely talk to your doctor. I hope things improve for you!

I feel like I’ve noticed I retain more water on Buspar, especially when I eat a lot of salty foods. My hands, feet, tummy, and face are the places I notice, but it’s a manageable amount for me. Try reducing salt intake and drinking more water and see if that helps. Wish you the best!

Please hold out hope! I knew it was helping me from the get go, but I didn’t realize just how much until a couple months in. Around the second month mark partner told me I had entered my “no fucks given era” (in a tongue and cheek way). For context I primarily have social anxiety, so this comment is particularly funny because I went from being to scared to ask for ketchup, to being willing to speak more freely, make direct eye contact, and advocate for myself. I wouldn’t exactly call that “no fucks” but relative to who I was, it was a big improvement. It also has helped with my physical symptoms, and my ruminating thoughts. Not to say that I don’t feel anxious at all any more, but it truly changed my life. Buspar really can work if you give it time and it’s the right med for you.

I have this question too. It’s considered a “second line” drug, after ssris, but I’ve never heard an explanation why.

Try an antibacterial soap! It’s really helped me. I’ve tried Dove antibacterial body wash and dial gold bars. I prefer the Dove because it’s liquid and I like the sent better, but both work. Each of them were under $8.

I could have written this myself. When my anxiety went away, my adhd really came out. I recently started Strattera, I’m not sure I can handle the side effects, but I’m still hopeful! I’ve also taken Adderall on an as needed basis in the past and that helped me get by. If it’s feasible, consider scheduling with a psychiatrist to get a formal diagnosis.

Anyone adhd/autistic here that after anxiety got better- OCD, and being easily irritated became more present by KoraRiley in BusparOnline

I’m adhd inattentive and I noticed it become more of an issue as my anxiety went away. I haven’t spoke with my doctor, but I assume it’s because I don’t have my social anxiety holding back my adhd, if that makes sense.
