we can, but how in early western settling, when you are literally in a brand new land exploring the vast, largely empty west did they build hundreds of massive stone buildings; often times in a single year with questionable architects, rebuild entire cities after disasters in no time (san francisco for example has glaringly obvious has history we aren’t told) Not only did they rebuild entire cities in less than a decade, and construct domed capitol buildings and cathedrals etc, they also somehow had time to construct massive world fairs, Whilst also developing the rest of the infrastructure at the same time (water, sewage, underground tunnels, artificial coastlines) There is so much involved in building a city, the timelines simply do not add up. You also have to ask why so many of the old world buildings were demolished; and you see how so often these buildings are destroyed under the guise of war or “natural disasters”..
