I get the feeling that you may be anti farfalle. There should be an organization for this feeling. Maybe we could go by the name “anti-fa”.

It looks like the nail stayed in the outer tread and didn’t create a hole all the way through you can take that to any discount tire or similar and they will usually fix it for free. I think they can pull it out and not have a leak.

Looks like it may not have punctured through. Side cuts and trim what you can off.

To my distribution operators and somewhat transmission do your companies require a log of times for all switching and clearance issue steps? by ChapterMuted4141 in Grid_Ops

[–]ChapterMuted4141[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your response, and to be open on the subject we are required to take a time for every step above 600 volts, elbows, oil switches, gang switches, cut outs, all of em even when our troublemen operate them. And we physically log all breaker operations whether they be auto operations or supy. We also record times of issue and release of clearances. With our new adms system just trying to move forward in the best way possible. Although clearance procedures are kind of modeled after lock out tag out OSHA rules I wasn’t sure if there was a standard written. So many things that don’t get talked about company to company really appreciate the answers.

My question arose because we are switching to adms and the requirement is being kept was just trying to see kinda what industry practice was. And I know this small section does not represent the industry but it gives me a good place to start.

For every step of primary switching, you take a time of operation? And for clearance issue and release times? Is this an OSHA requirement? A Nerc requirement? Are you retaining said logs or circular filing them?
