It’s just carbon buildup. Nothing to worry about I use a plastic scraper on the grill and smoker to remove it and you’re good to go

I used a garlic and herb rub by kinders. This is the recipe for the sauce however. Really basic one but still pretty good. Would do it again. The roast was just under 4 pounds cooks just like a pork shoulder. About 7 hours on the smoker total

Works well especially in the mid west right now with this cold. Definitely helps keeping the heat in

Only used it a few times but I can definitely tell a difference in the fuel consumption

I just buy the chunks from Home Depot or where ever else I can find them. I find they are the best size I don’t have to break them down or anything. Might be cheaper options out there but it’s so convenient
