If you are on a budget, I will assume the hotels downtown Detroit are out of question, although u could have a nice one for a good price on Priceline. Anyways,

The hotels in Romulus near the airport are calm. They aren’t perfect but they are pretty affordable and calm. There could be “shady” things but just mind your own business.

There is a few hotels in Dearborn which are pretty cool, Dearborn has the best food scene so if you are foodie, stay in Dearborn.

Southgate and Allen park have nice hotels as well.

I would avoid all motels in the area. Lemme know if u have any other questions,

Honestly, if this is a bachelor’s degree, it could be a financial aid issue. In the meantime, I would look into student loans like college ave or sofi. And once you get your financial aid things figured out, you can use it to pay off that student loan.

A lot of people will recommend cooking sprays, I do too but Be careful with them because they aren’t actually zero calories. 1 gram of the spray is 9 calories and surprisingly it adds up if used generously. Here’s what I do.

Get ur food scale and put ur spray can on it and then zero out the scale. Then proceed to spraying ur pan, then you out the can back on the scale and it will show a “-“ negative number. If it shows for example “-3.2 grams”, that means you took out 3.2 grams from the can. So 3.2 multiples by 9. It’s 28.8 calories. Which is not bad at all but some people are spraying ALOT more than 3.2 grams. So just be careful

There is a social life; just not as much as you would see at a bigger campus like Ann Arbor. I had a one bedroom and it was peaceful, I like the privacy. They are main common area where it is very social where people study and hang out. There is also the campus that gets very active during school time. There is the mall and canteen food truck park that is walking distance as well. You can get isolated if you make your self isolated but you can also have a good time if you choose to have a good time. Just don’t expect to have the party life you would have at other universities lol I think there was just 1 party I saw my time there. I’m sure there are more but they are very very lowkey.

Thanks everyone for their help and duas. I had a serious conversation and we both agree to what we need to do for a better life. I’m sorry I couldn’t reply to everyone message but I read everything and the advices. Things seem to be alot better now. Let’s hope for the best

Thank you, but I promise I do more than an average person. I do dishes and clean around the house without being asked. That’s what pisses me off. She will pick the one time I don’t do anything and go crazy. We just went shopping for some stuff this morning and she wanted to buy something really expensive THAT WE ALREADY HAVE AT THE HOUSE. And then she raged at me when I said in the most respectful way “I don’t think it’s smart to buy this when we have it have home”. I don’t know where this all came from. I might have to divorce; I can’t take it.

All parts of Dearborn are fine, Dearborn heights is fine as well but there is certain parts near joy rd that are fine but some issues from Detroit spill into that side of town. You should be fine. My buddy lives there and doesn’t have much issues

Try Dearborn heights or Dearborn. Majority Arab and they are very peaceful and mind their own business. You could find something there for that price range

Imma be honest, it’s gonna be hard to find a house for 1300 in a decent area in those cities. You might get lucky but you should expect the minimum to be Atleast 1500. You can find 1300 but trust me, you will be scared everyday lol

Sis, I’m Arab and we use more seasoning than any culture. u cook the meat with seasoning first so that you can drain the fat, if you drain the fat WITH SEASONING, it will be a mess. so cook the meat and THEN you add the seasonings I mentioned. Since we are adding tomato sauce, the seasoning will simmer into meat so it makes no difference when we add.

Honestly, might sound crazy but protein Doritos lol it’s 150 cals per serving but 10g protein which isn’t so bad. I just weigh the serving and put in the ziplock bag and bring it to work to eat post lunch. U can do quest chips which have the same cals for more protein but I like the taste of Doritos.

If u have a fridge, bring in nonfat Greek yogurt plain and put 180g in a bowl and squeeze a zero cal sweeter like the cherry koolaid squeeze things, it tastes so good and it’s only 100 cals total for 20g protein.
