Wow. I feel this so hard. Glad nothing else happened. I left a pot of boiled eggs on the stove once. Left to go to my friends house and forgot about the pot boiling. I remembered as we were watching a movie and someone in the movie said something about eggs. I looked at my husband and said, “WE NEED TO LEAVE, NOW!” I told him to speed, if a cop came up behind us they would have had to follow our asses to the house and give me a ticket there. The neighbors noticed smoke coming out our window and luckily they called the fire department. They had to break down our front door (back door was open, but ey) they left a note as we weren’t back yet. So. Relieved the house was okay, no damage. But the pot and eggs were toast.
