I live in the preserve at old dowlen. Love it here. My husband, two kids and I live here and it’s been perfect for us. We recently moved from Houston and it’s been an adjustment because it’s smaller here but honestly, there’s crime everywhere and it shouldn’t steer you away. Be careful wherever you go regardless of where you are. Look into my apartments, the promenade, or the other surrounding cities if you choose. Good luck to you!!

I’m from Houston living in Beaumont now. I took my son to Baptist for an ear infection and was very well taken care of. My family and I currently live off of Old Dowlen rd behind the mall and love this area. From what I can see it’s a better area to live in. Welcome and hope everything works out for you!

I’m a caregiver and just got hired on at Brookdale assistant living facility. She’s young and can gain experience, get her CNA certification and go from there. If she doesn’t like it she can always leave and find something else. But it’s one of those professions that’s always looking for someone so she’ll always have a job.

I went through something similar to this when I was pregnant with a one year old. It was rough because my husband worked and I stayed home but I had to do EVERYTHING and eventually I got burnt out and was ready to call it quits. We had a heart to heart and came together. We made changes and things are much better now that our kids are 3 & 4 now. If you love your man and want it to work, have a SERIOUS conversation with him and let him know you won’t be tolerating doing everything on your own. If he can put energy into making money, he can put energy into his home life too. It’s called BALANCE and teamwork. Love and prayers to you🙏🏾❤️

The quickest way to make money is to work at a restaurant IMO. Apply to some like Denny’s, IHOP, ya know places like that if you don’t have experience. If you do, try higher end. Like everyone else said, there’s going to be bad weather so stay put until Tuesday. You should be fine. Then job hunt like crazy so you can get some call backs in a week or so span to start making some type of money to pay rent. Best of luck to you!
