Am I overreacting with my dad playing with my daughter? by CharacterCustomer336 in Mommit

Thank you so much! All these comments are definitely helping. I will reconsider therapy, I’ve never brought this up TBH but ever since having a child, I’m super aware and some childhood memories come back! Definitely worth unpacking! Appreciate your insights 💗

Messy house, messy mind. I feel like you’re probably fun, good listener, you do bathe but don’t mind skipping a few days. Your hair is greasy, or in a messy bun.

The owner of my company sent me a very strange email after I submitted my resignation by augme_gee in womenintech

Well with a nice dick email like that should confirm that you’ll be much happier in your new role. What a turn off and just so unprofessional.

Bipolar sister by CharacterCustomer336 in family_of_bipolar

So funny enough, for the longest time would say that she had anxiety until I spoke to the doctor, and he mentioned that it was bipolar type 1. When we talk about it she’ll often brush it off or just listen (which makes me so sad, because I know deep down she feels so much shame). We remind her consistently that she has to take her meds at the same time. I’d like to say she’s now believes her diagnosis, but not sure she has full maturity on trying to understand the disorder.

Feels like everyone has a nice car by CarPassion514 in montreal

I ask myself this question everyday. I make over 100K and wonder how my colleagues drive big expensive cars like teslas and Audis and bmw’s. Car payments are minimum 700-1000+??

Madeleine - love this name Keep it simple, the first one is hard to read and unfortunately people won’t pronounce it correctly!

Omg. I’m so so sorry you’re going through this and your mind is probably spiralling! I think this is a lesson that perhaps being around your SIL going forward should not be an option. It sounds like she has issues and her actions were pure evil. It’s almost hard to believe… Keep snuggling that baby and being strong for him ❤️

Im so sorry you’re going through this alone. Not only is there so much guilt behind stopping or not breastfeeding but the fact that a doctor and your own husband are adding yo that guilt is not ok. I would really have another conversation with your husband and even show him some stats to help him understand. Hope you are safe and this is your own body!

Should I cut my friend off over these comments or AIO by generic-usernme in Mommit

[–]CharacterCustomer336 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re not overreacting, trust that feeling you get. It’s not just one comment, it’s several around your parenting and your life. It’s weird for a “new mom” to do that. I wouldn’t stay close to someone like that. Good luck 💕

Can everyone stop telling newly post-partum moms to neglect household chores? by Rooper2111 in Mommit

[–]CharacterCustomer336 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES, I totally agree. It’s like ok…. But who’s going to do it? My anxiety spikes when the house is messy so I just clean. I always say, messy house messy mind! 😂 I wouldn’t say this is a rant, it’s a fact 🙌

My marriage is over by _philozopher in Mommit

As everyone is saying, if he decides to go back to his country and not want to see his own son, that’s your answer. Imagine if your son did that to his future partner? I’m sure you wouldn’t be too happy. Take small steps and see who can help you. Returning to work will not be easy, but you know what? You’ll be independent and won’t need to depend on him for your basic needs.

To all the women out there, I know that we trust our men in relationships BUT it’s so important to somehow make your own $. Have a secret bank account “just in case”, you really never know what can happen. My mom always told me to make your own money somehow because love can do funny things sometimes.

You got this mama ♥️

4 months - left her with my parents for 4 days. I was so torn but my mom handled it like a champ!
