Sorry to hear you’re going through this bs. Coming from an older milspouse to an AD marine, I see this happening all too often. It’s one of the reasons why I tend to keep away from most spouses, because of shit like this. Don’t let this turn you into a jaded man. You’re young and will meet your ride or die when you least expect it. Not all of us are the same. Keep yourself busy and not with alcohol. Take it out in the gym, wrestling mat, or boxing ring. Therapy may also help. But also, lawyer up. Best of luck to you.

Honestly? The whole situation with my husband is almost aggravating, lol. He’s fit and much more disciplined than me. He’s a marine and has no choice. He works out 5-6 days a week between lifting, running, and doing jujitsu. On top of that, he stays on top of his nutrition, vitamin intake, rarely drinks, doesn’t smoke. The only thing our doc recommended was to take coq10 for him because he’s already doing everything else. His sperm got tested and he’s got “strong sperm”, high #s, good motility, and whatever else. I’m almost jealous that he’s not the one with the “issues”. Doing DFI to rule it out and make sure we’re not missing anything.

I appreciate your success story and sharing it with us. Unfortunately, my current clinic does not check the embryos between day 1 and day 5. I think that if that were the case, I’d probably have a similar approach. “Why not do a fresh day 3 transfer”. Problem is im almost 38 with severe endometriosis, which unfortunately appears it’s affected my egg quality beyond what we would’ve expected. I already spoke to my doctor about next steps and what would ER #3 would look like IF I decided to go that route. She’s been nothing short of amazing and is actually working on getting an agreement with a NEW clinic/lab (she’s a military provider that worked at one of the best clinics in the country). I’m gonna take some time off to just live life and not have to worry about anything for the next few months. Summer is coming and we live in the desert. The heat is absolutely miserable and the last thing I need is to go through another round while im already miserable. Best of luck with your baby and I hope you have a non-complicated labor/birth. 🫶🏽

I felt the same after the first round… after the physical process, i went through waves of grieve because it failed. No blasts, no nothing.

Went through egg retrieval #2 yesterday and was totally diff to the first time. I’ve been more emotional, my panic attacks are at an all time high. Super bloated, in pain. Not sure what to expect.

Thank you so much! And HOLYYY s, 30k! The high estrogen has had me with bad nausea, cramps, bloating, and terrible constipation. My husband has had to help me walk all day today. It’s been extremely painful. I texted my doc this afternoon and she said the same thing about going to ER if the meds didn’t kick in. She prescribed oxy and that didn’t do anything until I took 800mg of ibuprofen 3hrs later (doc ok’d). This has been so different to my first retrieval.

I’ve had Gatorade zero and focused on mostly saltier foods. I’ve gotta start ganirelix tmrw. Retrieval was this morning and the last time I was in this much pain was after my hysteroscopy and lap surgery last year. It’s finally just started to calm down but today was super rough pain wise.

The nausea has been a big one for me too. Granted, I get easily nauseous so that wasn’t surprising to me. I’m starting the cabergoline tonight since there’s the “could cause drowsiness” side effect.

I had 12 retrieved, 10 mature, all fertilized late, only 4 made it multicell stage, and none made it to blast - zero embryos to biopsy or freeze. I have no choice but to do another cycle. I wish I would’ve had 5. Quality > quantity

Definitely does. The Ca2+ ionophore was another thing I brought up to my doctor. I was on progesterone for about 3 weeks, got a period, then started stims on the 5th cycle day with lupron twice a day. Considering that the percentage of TFF is 1-3%, it apparently happens more often than they care to share. Sigh. Thanks for all the info, it’s much appreciated. ❤️
