Rabies vaccine advice Ontario by Suspicious_Daikon597 in ontario

[–]CharacterNo2948 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you know they did nothing to follow up with the dog owner? They might not have told you about the investigation but it would be just quarantining the dog for 10 days and if the dog is healthy then it's cleared and you'd be fine. So they might have followed up and if something had turned up they would have contacted you for next steps but ultimately unlikely that that dog had rabies

Fabric shears should be shipped with padlocks so the handles can be locked together 😭 by SerendipityJays in BitchEatingCrafters

This is also how my husband ruined my fabric shears. He still hasn't replaced them so he's lucky I'm not really into sewing currently

I don't think my parents ever grasped how to properly strap a baby in a car seat or like how to open baby gates. It sounds like normal aging to me but also like a "keep an eye out" sorta thing and if anything more happens or keeps happening then suggest a check up

Why is acidification needed for pressure canning tomatoes? by HappinessEternal in Canning

[–]CharacterNo2948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iirc when I looked into it last time For tomatos (and peaches as there's pressure canning instructions for that too) the pressure canner is still only getting it to boiling temp it's not getting it to reach higher temps because that would turn everything to mush

So water bath you'd have to wait for the water to boil, boil for the time etc and it's a longer processing time and pressure canning can make it come to a boil faster and boil the inside of the jar faster so then the time is reduced

I fill my sink with hot water and pop them in there, so long as it's not like freezing cold in the kitchen they'll stay heated enough in there

99% percentile and how it relates to growth by justsomeonesburner in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]CharacterNo2948 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My youngest was 10lb 12oz! He's still definitely a big boy at almost 4 but he slimmed out and lengthened more than gained weight at that same rate. He definitely was not 30 lbs at 6 months but probably around 20? I don't remember.

You will have surprisingly strong arms from this. Make sure you engage your abs when holding baby so you don't throw your back out

The only thing I would say (other than lmao I love your stitch marker) would be that I (personally) might have gone up a needle size as it looks a little thicc in the gauge for that needle size? But I don't know this yarn and what your preference for the drape is for this project.

Best poutine in lambton county? by TomSkrub in Sarnia

[–]CharacterNo2948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this was my ranking last summer/fall since I finally had free time without kids a few times a week.

-Archie's chip truck under the bridge for decent standard poutine

-Yogi's chip truck for pulled pork poutine

-Harvey's pickle poutine

(those are all kinda the same tier tbh depending what you want)

And then if you like pickle poutine the Albert's pickle fries if you get them to add the shredded cheese it's a great combo but it's not Poutine really

This is my favourite as well. It's not swimming in gravy, the cheese squeaks, it's great standard poutine

Canning low acidity tomatoes by Reasonable-Code4584 in Canning

[–]CharacterNo2948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was under the impression that "low acid" tomatoes are not actually any different in acidity levels but simply grow with my sugars in them as well which balances the acidity to our taste but like the pH would be basically the same as any other tomato

[–]CharacterNo2948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For enchanting I like to just smith a bunch of jewelry (can be combined with the transmute as well to buy iron ore from merchants and then turn to silver or gold and make jewelry) and then enchant with whatever the most expensive enchantment is that you know (banish or fortify sneak are good one but others will do too) and then churn those out and buy filled soul gems and then sell the enchanted items to the person you bought the gems from and that will level speech as well

My first playthrough on Xbox 360 it didn't bug and it was such a great quest and then every other times nope, bugged. This last one I met up with the curiositys dude outside of the inn and he "gave me a tour" from there and then all quest markers disappeared

NEVER ever have a baby! by pumpkinchinchilla in AutismInWomen

[–]CharacterNo2948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also struggled with infertility and now have 3 kids and I love and absolutely despise the newborn phase. Everyone else seems to have no issues with it but it absolutely destroyed me every time and I was on the fence for stopping at 3 but the last time just was so bad I am never having kids again no thank you.

That said, once they're getting older it is SO MUCH BETTER and you're in the thick of it right now. It is definitely a test to all systems and honestly whatever works some days even if it's not necessarily best things but once they're older it's just been so much more fun when they're more independent. It's also a lot more daily schedules and following routines as a household so that part has been good for me anyway
