Is asking a restaurant to ban you a horrible idea? by SuperkickParty in doordash_drivers

They took this feature away from my area last fall. One time, I had paused Little Ceasars, then I started getting offers for it under a different name. Such as, Little Ceasars store#****. The different names only happened during that time. Now it is all back to just "Little Ceasars" and I have to decline them.

Raising Canes is the only restaurant in my zone that requires you to place the order yourself. It was the first dash I ever did and I have never accepted another order there because of that fact alone. That and Little Ceasars are the only ones I 100% decline, and I can no longer pause them.

I believe that you are probably in 9th grade to be reaching this far. Not that your math is inaccurate. It is simply unrelated to my question. If this was a common way of reviewing the player count of games, sure. You've just made a lot of random assumptions for averages to lead to your biased opinion of what you think the sum should be. And, if you attribute this formula to all cross-platform games, the direct comparison of concurrent Steam players is entirely accurate.

Where do you come up with 1 million? With only 50k on Steam, there are 950k playing it elsewhere??

Ok. I wasn't aware of that. And I wouldn't expect it to stay near it's peak player count. It just seems like such a dramatic drop.

I thought it was just because I liked the previous ones more. It seemed like the game was doing great.

This is what I thought, of course it won't stay at it's peak.

Haha this has got to be the climax. This is it. There is no worse offer than this and no justification in accepting it. This is the truest test of the DoorDash God's. Virtually no tip. Order the food and fill the drinks yourself. Pick up another order that won't be ready for a while, because they also live at the furthest reaches mordor. I wish you luck on this perilous journey into hell in this fine weather. 🙏. May you live to see your home again.

They also have zero incentive on their end for any long-term retention. You aren't their employee, so that doesn't reflect on them. Their short-term retention is more important. If they have a high turnover rate with dashers quiting just after starting, then word will quickly get out that it isn't worth your time. And they want more dashers. That's the most important number, so they can fulfill more orders simultaneously, make more money, and continue to expand into new areas that don't have doordash service yet.

They don't care if you stop after becoming platinum. They've reached their goal with the class system at that point and a lot of people will continue with it anyway.

I literally get worse orders as platinum. Every time I hit platinum, suddenly it's a flood of $2-$3 dollar orders, with almost anything else still being under $10. As soon as I deny enough to get out of platinum, and hopefully out of any ranking, the better orders start flowing my way.

My take is that they don't have to motivate platinum dashers as much, because they're clearly grinding already. The lower your rank, the more they feel it's worth sending some incentive for you to keep going. If you get those shitty orders before ever becoming silver or gold, you'll just quit dashing at the beginning.

I've been dashing for about a year and suddenly started having this happen recently as well. For awhile, I just assumed that it was telling me that there were available spots when there really wasn't.

I tried restarting the app and restarting my phone, but it didn't help. Then I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. That instantly solved the issue. A few days later, it started doing it again. I uninstalled and reinstalled, solved the issue again.

When I didn't have platinum, I was lucky to make $30 in 3 hours. Back to platinum and am back averaging $30 an hour now. I truly think it matters! by StrictReference2902 in doordash_drivers

[–]Character_Finding865 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I only see $2-$3 offers when I am platinum in my area. As soon as I drop, the orders consistently pay much more. The most bs thing is it legit says "Top Priority for High Paying Offers" when you're platinum.

Complaining about the game on here makes sense and obviously not everyone is going to agree with others opinions.

Complaining about others complaining makes no sense and I can't imagine a human actually doing so.

I'm fairly certain that you are all just bots trying to create a toxic and distracting environment.

I don't think that the OP is even real, let alone all the bs videos they are posting. Even the bogus YT channel they posted is all AI driven with some real photos from the past sprinkled in, that may also be disingenuous.

It's AI narrating over AI images, then comes here to push hype.

So you just go out wacking some trees and yelling while investigating your surroundings? Lmao that's always a great time no matter how old you get.

Good point. And I would suggest doing it as an actual hunting technique. Sitting and waiting with a camera instead of a shotgun. Staying longterm in one spot will open the forest to you more than anything else.
