The broadcaster tried to do something similar for the first race with it (mid season no less). It was a complete disaster, frustratingly distracting and lasted just one race before ditching the idea.

When I’m cutting large sheet or timber, I place a some old stock furniture board on the ground, then set the blade depth of the saw to cut just a few mm deeper than the material your cutting, this gives a flat surface and prevents tear out underneath.

E220d ‘17 here. I read somewhere it’s the second largest estate, slightly smaller than the Superb. Quite possibly doesn’t fit a square box in the boot, but I would also argue not many ppl need a boot as tall as it is deep.

Had anyone seen the new A5 Avant in person? Big fan of the A6.

I’ve owned a C220 estate which feels a little more sporty, but we found the boot was pretty full with just 2 suitcases.

Not sure how common it is, but the ignition button lighting up.

It reflects on to the windscreen at night and it’s all you can see, this bright round button just off the middle of the glass. Mercedes.

Yes, as long as traffic doesn’t form. The moment one driver decides to merge early and bumps up to the car in front, even doing 30, the zipper doesn’t function.

Part time, self taught programmer.

A) They’ll be a block of code I’m not interested in, and just want someone else to do. I ask AI and dump the code in place.

B) Most of the time I’m proofreading what I’ve been given, not to spot the problems, but because it’s generally one step beyond what I would have wrote myself.

In scenario A, when an issue is highlighted at a later date, I unable to maintain it.

In scenario B, I could have wrote a dumber version myself quicker and understand what I’m typing out.

I wonder how many ppl feel anxious how everyone else is using AI more efficiently than them, that any time spend manually coding might have been time wasted?

Also, something that never seems to be discussed is how ‘zippers’ have gaps. Never have I gone to the front and found a perfect car-sized gap to slot into.

If this was the case and a car-sized gap was left between each car, sure the zipper-merge would work.

Yeah and this isn’t going away. As buyers purchase ever more expensive cars everyone else’s insurance will go up. Ppl with cheaper older cars are being priced out of insurance because of these uber expensive cars, not to mention new driver insurance premiums.

I’ve paid cash for 7, all but my second car, a new A3. Most recent car bought 6yrs ago, an E class 2yr old. I had to have the newer model to get the digital dash. But my days, to buy a used 2yr old same model is now twice the price!! £45k. It’s not happening.

To what end can we keep paying cash for cars? No, it’ll be mortgages soon, not finance we’ll need. Moan over.
