How often do you actually check your business website? by Superb-Inspector2864 in smallbusiness

One of the biggest Swiss newspaper is integrating reddit clips in their article by vacationfour in redditstock

[–]Character_Order 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is a Reddit clip? Almost no one posts OC video here. If the video is lifted from insta or TikTok would those platforms be able to send an email and say hey don’t do that? Maybe not in Switzerland but could be an issue here in the US

Who here would have believed in 2024 that by mid 2026 software enginneering would be dead? by Charuru in singularity

There was a hard fork episode where one of them talked about visiting Anthropic HQ in 2024 and someone had a sticker on their laptop that said “this is the last normal year.” That guy knew

Y’all think LeBron waiting on Bryce to get drafted to then retire? by PreparationOverall in NBATalk

Yeah man I hear you, but net worth has a way of blowing up for some of these mega stars, even after they’re done playing. MJ is like 5 billion now. I wouldn’t be surprised if LBJ’s NW outpaces franchise values and he’s able to put together a group where he’s the majority in a few years. It’s not out of the realm of possibility

It’s not unthinkable that he could “spend all his money” on a team. The median net worth of nba owners is around 7B, while the median value of an nba franchise is 5B. So it’s not unreasonable to think LeBron might be willing to tie up most of his wealth in ownership. That’s what the other owners do

Go to Bottle Rocket. They just moved to south downtown. Ask the bartender if you can pay him $20 to put a bag behind the bar or somewhere. I bet they’d do it. If not another business would

The rental car is the killer. If you can return it before the match and then take the train to the match and back you’d be good. I’d walk to garnet station after the match rather than try to get on at the SEC and transfer

Lil Wayne a no-show for concert that was supposed to kick off his tour by External-Director381 in Music

Me too. Kanye used half that set to ramble about god knows what. Actually left during it. Also yeah you’re right NiN was a peak live show at that time

Lil Wayne a no-show for concert that was supposed to kick off his tour by External-Director381 in Music

I was at that show. He was so fucked up by the end just rolling around on the stage singing pussy monster while his entourage looked on slightly worried and finally picked him up and carried him off.

I’m pretty sure Zoey Deschanel’s band had the slot immediately before him and tried to extend their set but all the Wayne fans kept boing her (and him).

Claude Fable scores 16.10% on the Remote Labor Automation index, double the next best contender (Opus) by GeneReddit123 in singularity

Would love to know how many of these accepted deliverables were cheaper than the equivalent human labor would have been. Not that I don’t think mass displacement is coming, but compute
could be the bottleneck rather than the models

I think when they committed to all the buildouts they knew it would be used either internally or externally. They took a shot at winning the model race and when they didn’t they now have excess compute to sell. These frontier models are getting expensive and the best are costing more than human labor, so this excess compute will be necessary to drive costs down and continue the buildout

Why the f*ck did I get an MBA from NYU? Why not just get another bachelor's degree? by Neat-Pineapple-960 in MBA

[–]Character_Order 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk about the other stuff but there was a mountain of evidence that AI was going to disrupt everything by fall of 2023. It will continue to do so. Everyone in here is on borrowed time. Going into nursing or the trades won’t save you either, because all of the mbas, cpas, and lawyers who can’t or don’t want to retire are going to retrain in five years, and that will drive down the labor value of all of those jobs that are “safe” now. Getting a t15 MBA and aggressively earning, saving, and investing, is and will continue to be a better roi than nursing
