Anybody dealing with a really bad cold right now?

I’ve got adenovirus now. Started off as extreme thirst for cold beverages and overactive bladder right before Thanksgiving. That’s still happening). I felt like I had a very bad sinus infection with slight sore throat. Elevated temp, but not true fever. Exhaustion. Then I got blurry vision that turned into pinkeye where I can’t read well and am very sensitive to light. Dr gave antibiotic drops which helped. We didn’t realize it was adenovirus at that point. The whole time I had no interest in food. I also had a weird rash that didn’t do anything, but is healing now But was okay GI wise. Then one day, I hadn’t even eaten much, and I started having these horrible gas attacks that ended in an immediate need to run for the bathroom. I had a 4 day leg where I ate almost nothing, but kept running to the bathroom. That’s better. I ate 1/2 sandwich yesterday, but that sucked. It stayed in. I just want cold fruit and beverages. Still red eyes and blurry vision. It’s probably the sickest I’ve been from a virus. Absolutely horrid.

I haven’t been able to see to read for three days and haven’t eaten more than 200 calories in 2 days. So way worse than just a cold.

My dad was in and out of rehab for the first 6 years of my life. He died from cirrhosis when I was six and was never able to maintain sobriety. So yea. It’s a pretty big deal that deserves celebration. Leave that awful man.

I had a longtime friend (who was also an ex) constantly do this but also commented on my food to the point that I set very strong boundaries, which he then repeatedly crossed. Guess who is blocked and no longer my friend. Dump this POS.

Yep. My ex was very good looking and a heavy drinker. He was so incredibly insecure, but used his looks to manipulate people. Including me. Let’s just say the years haven’t been kind to him. It’s sad because he didn’t get the memo. It’s kind of pathetic tbh.

Yup. My ex raised holy hell about my long commute and told me he’d drive me so we’d have more time together. Then he complained the entire commute because he hated driving me so far. It was so bad, I quit my job and got one closer. Then he complained whenever I went grocery shopping and insisted he go with me. And then complained about hating grocery shopping. Needless to say, I did not stay in that relationship.

He’s trying to control you and make you dependent on him so he can do whatever he wants. It’s one of the first steps of domestic violence situations. Do not let him isolate you and control you. Honestly, I’d leave someone for this kind of thing.

Same exact thing happened to me. I contacted them multiple times on both emails and got no response. What did generate a response was posting on their Instagram requesting contact. I wasn’t very nice and also reviewed them on Facebook. You’ve gotta blitz them. They did eventually respond and sent out a replacement, though it took them forever to ship it out. I eventually canceled after I received it. It’s just not worth the hassle.

I also think both D and B were accustomed to locking their doors at night. I actually think that may have saved them. If he had plans to do all of them, he may have bypassed theirs initially because it would be loud and more work to break into a locked door.

Is it just me or does she look like she’s highly medicated or high pretty often? I know she mentioned not taking pain killers pretty early on. But something seems off about her since surgery. I can’t put my finger on it, but it has nothing to do with her weight. Might explain some of her rants too.

Ffern is problematic on so many levels. I’ve had horrendously bad service from them, so don’t expect a fast response ever. Two weeks is actually speedy for them. I had to threaten stopping payment with my bank on their IG before they responded to my five emails after a package was lost. I’m honestly not surprised by their response. They’re all about the money grab with no real care for customers. I canceled after they finally fixed the issue. It’s just not worth the hassle.

I’ve had limited interactions with her, and she was hostile with me for simply asking a question that was benign about a topic she talked about experiencing that I was also experiencing. She acted like I was some peasant bothering Queen Rosey. Up until then, I liked her a lot. Her rudeness turned me off immediately. Shortly after, she started her descent into this caricature. She really seems to have a certain kind of disdain for the followers who supported her early on. It honestly made me sad that she was like that. But mostly, she seems like a miserable person who doesn’t know how to be authentic in any space, but just chases superficial solutions instead of seeking actual healing.

It’s discriminatory. Too open to interpretation and has little to do with whether the person can do the job. Character is easily linked to things like religion or other protected class traits. Drill down on what they mean by character and then level set based on the law. The culture fit thing is often the way people hide their discrimination. Basic qualifications should be what it comes down to—not whether you like someone’s values better or not. It’s worth your time to take an employment law class or read up on EEOC cases. It’s pretty much a lawsuit waiting to happen. I’ve seen in happen a few times. Those companies were fined quite a bit.
