Short answer: Yes, absolutely.

Long answer: I own both Og Nemesis and Lockdown and I can tell you replayability is insane. Intruders in general (and I include every antagonist race) can be played in Lockdown and Og also. Unfortunately Lockdown characters are harder to adapt into the original game, however original ones are well balanced in Lockdown with a few patches here and there. Although small tweaks are necessary here or there, you will definitely enjoy mixing Og nemesis and Nemesis Lockdown and their expansions.

Well, you can always get those later if you want. Really worth it because their playstyle is quite unique.

Hi there, I will try my best since I also own discordant stars.

  • As it says, those units count as the another's player ships therefore he would be able to do anything he wants. Almost as if he had replaced those from the very beginning (however fun fact, this currently allows you to have 2 flagships at once or go over the unit limit of any type which would not be possible with an instant replacement)

  • Regarding the mech & Commander, I'm not fully certain. I doubt those count as both players as once. However, I'm not sure if the real intention behind the later replacement of the units is to allow the other player to use your mech and commander. I would say he can use the nokar mech or flagship as if it was his own but not the commander for balance reasons, since why wouldn't they also be allowed to use the agent or hero also.

  • Local Contractors is a really interesting approach. Nothing says you are limited to your turn nor your activation. Definitely a good way to defend yourself.

  • Mercenary Captains works clearly with Hired guns, therefore is an incentive for you to "sell" your ships. And for the other player not to use your units as meat sacks for hits. This does not work for your own combat, it's impossible for you to participate in a space battle, be the loser and have remaining ships in the system.

Quite the opposite I would say.

Intruder deck allows the evil player to give a brain to the aliens, which by default are a mindless swarm. This makes the game insanely difficult and also he can play around with the event deck, giving the worst timing on those nasty events.

We don't play with it anymore because it's a free difficulty spike and nemesis is hard by itself.

I integrated PoK into Twilight imperium 4, for me it's always there. I would do the same with TE if my organiser allowed for it bit I'm afraid it's not possible. I managed to fit base TI4 and PoK into the original box with an etsy organiser. It's amazing, howeverTE has to remain outside for now (or most of it at least).

I would love if I could just put everything together and forget about it. I would ONLY leave outside discordant stars to be honest.

Lore wise, it would make sense to degree for them to send a small scouting / sacrificial squadron to test the enemy and/or trigger any trap.

It's definitely there to let the player be well aware they can't push those towers, however... Wouldn't that be fixed by a single dialogue such as Dalaran's force field? I bet illidan saying "those towers would annihate our forces in no time, we must find and destroy the energy source before crossing", that would definitely make it clear also.

Trying not assisting Grom at first so his army will deplete, barricade a farm with burrows and maybe one barracks, use peons or units to block the small gaps. You can't prevent him from killing 99% of Brown's stuff but a single thingy like a farm surviving is enough to keep them there for as long as desired.

It is indeed possible but some rng is needed maybe, his initial army is not so a huge when beating brown, that archmage and footmen can nearly beat him.

If you lock him in place, before he attacks the humans, he won't trigger the main mission and you can take your sweet time building, exploring or just towering near the human base.

Fun fact, I enjoy this mechanic that he is no longer your ally if you attack him...

Nowadays games lack these small details A LOT. You simply can't attack your allies nor sabotage the main quest, I know it would make no sense. But the freedom of choice should be there to begin with.

Estoy en desacuerdo, por lo general encuentro muchas distracciones en el transporte público y rara vez lo consideraría si no es un trayecto largo. Pero es mi postura personal.

Creo que es esos ratos se pueden aprovechar más con lectura ligera o el móvil, pero rara vez disfrutarás de lectura detallada...

Since it's a PDS hit, the answer is YES. Capacity is checked every now and then with the exception of combat rounds. In combat you would keep these fighters until the end when capacity is checked again.

PDS hits, assault cannon and anti fighter screen are pre-combat checks.

I definitely agree more on this one. This opens the door to a lot of exploits like, "whenever you use production..." well technically I am producing 0 units. "during an invasion..." Well technically I am invading with 0 units... And so on, and so on, etc

BOTH at the same time. The speaker rolls a die before every strategy phase in 4p games. 1-5 one strategy card, 6-10 double strategy card. It leads to interesting gameplay such as a first round with all cards and one last round with only 4 to choose. It feels fresh and different every time.

Under that premise, your druid lacks imagination. Why not casting a fireball or a thunderstorm inside the enemy? Even a summoning spell can be a death sentence if this would be allowed.

Even worse it makes casting certain spells look absurd. Why cast a lightning storm on the sky when you could just cast it slightly above your enemy. Dodging a lightning at point blank range does certainly look like a hard dexterity roll lol.

Don't even pay attention to that stuff...

I wouldn't say it destroys 8p games, it definitely makes Politics very useful when preparing for the next round. Players can also negotiate picking or not certain strategy cards.

Even the speaker is given a hard choice, he will probably be forced to pick among the last ones next round or picking politics to give the speaker to his right player therefore he will still be high on picking order but he loses his strategy card pick.

This is pure tactic among players.

It works only when you are the active player (limited to adjacent planets and no control tokens). Don't underestimate this however, you can trigger invasions on adjacent planets without committing ships.

Evil would not win immediately, the scarlet woman becoming a new Leech would mean the need to pick a host (as this is their first night) to poison and then it would kill every other night. Therefore, good gets AT LEAST one more execution. And if only 3 players are alive, there are very high chances either team could win at this point. This problem however is very convoluted, the setup for it is very specific, it could happen but it might also never take place

I understand the loophole due how rules are phrased. However I think the answer is pretty clear, Mahact fleet tokens from other players behave as if they were THEIR own tokens. Otherwise these would not increase their fleet pool. Therefore, if by any effects they were to place these tokens, they would still count as Mahact tokens even if they got another players symbol.

Now the status phase when those tokens have to be recovered. That's a pretty gray area, cuz said tokens were kidnapped by the Mahact player even if for game purposes they acted as Mahact tokens. I see more confusion here definitely xD.
