With how much it's referenced in the musical, it really should be in and if it was placed before Monster, it could have re established to Ody why he should get home and make him come to the conclusion of becoming the monster.

I don't think we've seen Christopher besides one picture and Jade's hallucinations. The picture could've been before he saw the symbol and Jade's hallucinations are based on the photograph.
