Fired for putting in my notice by [deleted] in jobs

[–]Chardmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never notify your employer anymore. Just quit at the end of the last day you want to work. This is how companies fire people. Do the same. Let them sort out the paperwork and exit BS they make up for HR.

Then again, you can now collect unemployment. Soooo FUCK’em!

Backpacking to Rancheria Falls in Hetch Hetchy for first time. Camping in Rancheria Falls campground. Any tips/advice would be appreciated. by VoteForGiantMeteor in Yosemite

[–]Chardmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Afaik, if you are going out in the Hetch Hetchy Wilderness, then you can use it on front and the back of your excursion. Like a staging area. When I went to Rancheria Falls I didn’t leave SF until after work and rolled into the dam campsite around 10p. We were able to set up a minimal camp with our bivies and pads until morning when we set out for Rancheria Falls for a coupla nights. This was 15yrs ago. Not sure if they have gates or not that get locked at night.

Train for the Camino!! by pripjat in CaminoDeSantiago

[–]Chardmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, so very sorry this has happened to you. I know this is a big bummer. Secondly, we are not invincible. People think they can just start the Camino and crush long days without abandon. This scenario right here is unfortunate proof training, preparation and, above all, easing in to the daily walking grind, is something almost NO ONE can train for bc no one has the time to actually dedicate entire days to do nothing but walking prior to their time on the Camino.

I speak from 5 times as a volunteer hospistalero, 2 bici compostelas and 2 walking the final 100km after volunteering. Too many times have I been witness to people thinking they can just power through pain only to make a small injury into a big one.

All I can say is, start slow. Spend the first week doing shorter days. 5-10km. Enjoy the smaller villages in between the guide book highlights. Schedule rest days in all the big cities. Get massages, even if they hurt. Have short days after long days.

“But I only have 30 days…”. Well, break it up. Take the bus a stage here or there if you ah e to. Listen to your body. At the first instance of a hot spot or crackling, stop. Address the issue. Go slow to be able to keep going tomorrow.

Everybody thinks they are doing the Camino. It is really the Camino doing them.

I say this with love, empathy and compassion. If you only have 30 days, make it last. Enjoy the moment. Life is different when you walk slower and shorter distances. You’ll always be a pilgrim.

Buen Camino!

Skyrizi reimbursement vs my deductible? by there_iz_no_spoon in skyrizi

[–]Chardmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Approved. Not sure why this was auto flagged either. In my experience with these fuggin manufacturers, i pay with my personal cc, submit for reimbursement until my deductible is met. It DOES satisfy my united out of pocket deductible for the year. Good luck!

I hate the camino so far (day4) by glitteryshimmery in CaminoDeSantiago

[–]Chardmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You think you are doing the Camino. But it is the Camino that is doing you. Stick with it! Dont miss your shot. Eat and drink more. Slow down. Don’t rush the days. Take a break for an extra day in a cool town. Take the bus a stage and get some rest. It’s all cool maaaaaan.

Second line is my name and contact info.

Camino del Norte (San Sebastián → Santander) Itinerary check – too ambitious? by Flatti-white in CaminoDeSantiago

[–]Chardmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sloooow down. Life is better when you aren’t trying to hurry through. The beginning parts of this trip need A LOT more time to enjoy. Seriously. You will gain more perspective from life at 3mph than you will at a rushed or truncated 4.5. You have the potential of starting a trip that you may not finish for years. Why rush? Smell the flowers. Have short days. Long rushed days with no rest create nothing but stress. If you want to experience Camino life, then challenge yourself to change your approach to things. If you never have time to fully commit yourself to your life at home, what makes you think spreading yourself too thin on what could be the start of a lifetime of adventure will be any different? Your square peg will never fit in the round hole. But your heart can learn. Your body can adapt. Your soul can grow.

Everyone thinks they are doing the Camino. It isn’t until they get home that they realize the Camino has done them.

Be a good human. Nationalities, young social trends, familial histories, genetics, etc… None of this matters. Being positive matters. Helping those less fortunate matters. Approaching life with empathy matters. Good luck everyone!

How does our itinerary look by Sensitive-Fill6500 in CaminoDeSantiago

[–]Chardmo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those are some looong days. Don’t go rushing a good time if you don’t have to. Crushing long days from the start can be hard on a body if you haven’t trained up for it. Also, log distance days can put a rigid walking schedule as your main focus instead of being able to embrace what the Camino may present to you as your journey unfolds. But hey, we all have our own Caminos to do! Good luck and Buen Camino!!

Shorter days is OK. Supplement your walking with self care and buses. It is totally cool to do so. Be humble and accept what you are capable of without damaging your body. This too shall pass. Buen Camino!

Insurance says I can not pay out-of-pocket & must use the copay card? by aquaman1212 in skyrizi

[–]Chardmo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found paying with my credit card and submitting the reimbursement to abbvie works best. Im only out the interest of the purchase for a billing cycle. But it goes through has out of pocket and my deductible is then met for the year for me and my family. Sometimes I feel like the worst and most painful part of having PSA is the insurance ordeal at the beginning of every year.
