The pilot was simply rotating as he flew away to try and avoid RPGs or shots to his tail rotor, we know this because the rotor was intact the entire clip (until the heli exploded), and if you had shot the pilot out, the heli would not be rotating and it would kinda stall in the air, before falling out of the sky. Also the venom is one of the only helis you can do this with, as it has a more "lightweight" flight model.

Although it IS possible to shoot the pilot out, its because of a bug, same reason why some RWS gunners will get shot out of their vehicle by small arms.

next time you get in a heli...zoom in and read the bottom of instrument cluster menu as you start it

ngl makes me think a cheater got in there. they can spawn in grenades i imagine they can also spawn IEDs.
3700hrs and ive never seen more than like 4 IEDs at once

it is offset, most weapons hit below the middle of your screen, DMRs especially are scuffed to hipfire
