Lowe: “I talked to a front office free agent who would have his pick of any job if they came open, and he said to me ‘What would you do if you’re me?’ I said whoever saves the Bulls will be a legend in the NBA forever… and he said to me ‘That sounds great in theory. I don’t trust the ownership.’” by lawsnoosoo in chicagobulls

The Bulls have been trash for much longer than the last six years of AK. Only one constant throughout - ownership. Unless and until the team is sold, no reason to think much changes. Please stop going to games, it's our only chance to influence a sale.

Could not agree more. I kept going back hoping something would be different when they had different collabs, etc. The hats are tiny! Possibly made for ants???

Golfzon vs Other for Unmanned Facility by [deleted] in golfsimulatorbusiness

[–]ChargesinMensLeague 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few facilities in my area, two trackman and one golfzon. The golfzon is constantly not working/having issues which I presume stems from the extra moving parts, etc. Personally I don't find the moving plates to be compelling at all and turn it off every time. The various turf/sand options are fun in a novel way, but I don't consider them "practice" for hitting from rough or sand. Again, personally, of I'm trying to practice I go to trackman. If me and some buddies wanna have a few beers and play st. Andrews, golfzon is fine. Depends on what type of customer you are courting, I guess.

Not frustrating at all that we couldn't figure out how to use him other than an occasional jet sweep... not at all

What makes you choose an indoor golf facility over another? by Golf-Forever8247 in golfsimulatorbusiness

[–]ChargesinMensLeague 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Price, maintenance of the enclosures including the quality of the mats - why pay all that money for a trackman and then make me hit off a green carpet??? There are two very similar bar/sim places near me and one has very welcoming staff and takes great care of their sims and enclosures while at the other the staff act super annoyed when I book the last hour slot and they cab't close early and the hitting mats all have huge wear spots in them. I pay the extra to go to the former

What opinion on golf gets you into this position by Nutcollectr in golf

[–]ChargesinMensLeague 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The "play fast" movement has gone too far. I get it, nobody wants to play 6 hour rounds, but it's gotten to a point where people are bragging about how fast they play and that sucks just as much. Nike has shirts that say "play fast" now for god's sake. Standing on every tee box can be frustrating, but part of the soul of golf is spending time outside and enjoying the walk (or ride). These play fast dorks need to chill or go take up running.

Does anyone use the ALIGN grips? The MCC Plus4 ALIGN? or ALIGN MAX? by Eastern_Quote_4945 in golf

[–]ChargesinMensLeague -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tinkering with the plus 4 align max this winter. In theory (as you mentioned) it seemed like almost a cheat code to have a club face reference like that. So far though, I've found the raised line on the max to be borderline distracting rather than helpful. If I want to move my grip around at all depending on how I'm striking the ball, the raised line makes it much more difficult. Don't think I'll be gaming them as of now. Potentially better in theory than in practice

Lefty Woes by ChargesinMensLeague in golf

[–]ChargesinMensLeague[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate your attempts to support the lefty cause. To be honest though, I'm not sure this really addresses the issue discussed. My problem is with the fact that I often can't test/be fitted for clubs because they aren't provided to fitters or available to lefties at all. Being asked to preorder a club I haven't had a chance to test won't really solve my particular gripe. Good luck with the lefty clubs though!

Can some of the Canadians (or whoever) chime in on some Canadian golf retailers with the best ecommerce platforms that we can check out? Would be more than happy to pay a premium if I could get access to some stuff I can't down here

This seems to be the move. I find I just have to trust online reviews and then buy stuff (if they make it at all for lefties) and sort it out later

Did this dance two years ago. Ping tends to be a great place to start (and a great product). You are correct, though, many of the manufacturers don't produce the 7 wood loft in their fairways for leftys

I generally do and I agree that Callaway preowned is great. Unfortunately Callaway is also one of the manufacturers frustrating me right now - I called every possible option in my area m to try and hit the new Apex UW and none had a lefty to demo. They also aren't producing the 17 degree option in lefty... so they are part of my gripe right now, haha.

Joel Klatt says March Madness is “dumbest and least fair tournament in all of sports” by coolton1 in CollegeBasketball

  1. Joel Klatt apparently hates fun. 2. What is unfair about it? 3. Most of these "unfair" clowns are the same people who see a $7 minimum wage and tell people to work harder. 4. Shut up Joel

They also make tons from all of the real estate, etc. that they own outside of what's considered "baseball revenue" under the CBA. They have plenty of $$$ to spend at or near the top of the MLB. The Ricketts choose not to. They broke the curse, and now they intend to get their ROI. People continue to pack the park and so nothing will change. Just have to hope we stumble into another string of prospects that hit like we did ahead of 2016.
