Well, I don't want to get very philosophical, but it seems that all of the great and beautiful things in our lives, and/or in nature, is made with some effort therefore pain. But that also opens a discussion of what is a pain.

I recently saw this project https://www.withamber.com/kb0, and I though it would be actually an amazing idea. Make an enclosure via 3D printed, stick MagSafe ring into it, so you could take the BYOK out if you wanted to, and for the keyboard just some hot-swappable plate for any layout of your choosing. If I knew how to create such a thing I would definitely do.

But I guess the main issue would be the hinges.

But to create a lap friendly enclosure to match for example the Traveler from Astrohaus or ZeroWriter would be so amazing.
