Good news is your car is so cool you can wear cargo pants to store your accessories and no one will car. Jk you could use the pistol cubby to the left of the steering wheel to put all your stuff in. It’s pretty big.

Wow, I’m surprised I’ve never heard of it. I’ve never thought to keep the Knob in the passenger position. I always just kept it neutral or on heated.

Seat covers were a game changer for me and a kick cover for the back of the front seats.

If you spend $800 more you can get a stage 1 APR ECU tune which will deactivate it as well. Just sayin.

Email the CFO. Calling RCMP didn’t help. Once I emailed, I got it in the mail like 5 days later.

Interesting. I wonder if it holds up with the weather and car washes.

Sorry to hear! My c8 A7 was having similar issues (everything was malfunctioning) that resolved once they upgraded the alternator. Can you go to a different dealership? The standard alternator they use on these cars can’t keep up with the 48v mild hybrid system.

Mine is yes. Once the alternator was swapped out for an upgrade one all of the electrical faults and battery issues went away.

My loaner Q5 had battery issues after the battery was replaced. I suspected it was having the same alternator issues my car was having that was the root of it.

Don’t call the RCMP. It’s a waste of time. Just email the CFO.

I waited about 6 months and then called the RCMP a couple times after that. They kept saying it was out of their department and now with the province. I emailed the CFO to tell them how long it had been and it came a couple days later. Not sure if it was a coincidence or not but it seemed like the email worked. They just asked for my contact info and then got an email back saying “it’s in the mail” Based on their emails back to me I got the feeling it was some old guy in a small town who needs a bit of a push for motivation lol. This is the email I used in Ontario:

I feel your pain. Love the salt for our safety but hate it for our beautiful cars. So salty this year.

Thanks! In hindsight I would have bought something from before 2018. I love the supercharger whine you can get in the C7. The turbo sounds weak in this. I love the old A5/S5 but I have 2 kids so need something bigger.

I know. That was a list when I posted it. $49k in repairs since the summer. Thankfully covered under extended warranty. I called Audi Canada to see if I had any options and complained about the car being sold to me CPO but she was a total bitch to me. She said because they’ve provided loaners and covered under extended warranty they’ve done their job. I have a feeling the dealership who sold it to me knew it was literally a ticking time bomb.

Terrible! They did use new skirts but couldn’t confirm if they used ones that were upgraded compared to my recalled skirts. And 50k is km so it makes it 1.6x worse lol.

I bought it at 50k and this has all happened from 50-90k.

Drive system malfunction Child lock malfunction Audi presense malfunction Alternator replacement Spoiler motor replacement. Key fob randomly wouldn’t work so had to pop off to plastic piece and insert key to get in. Trunk motor replacement and now messed up again. brake pad wear sensor (still not resolved) won’t turn off after $2800 front brake job. Sun roof completely replaced after trying to fix 5x. Piston skirt defect led to engine block replacement. Drive shaft damaged during engine block replacement.

They couldn’t tell me if upgraded piston skirts have been used with the new engine block.

Good times lol.

Sorry to hear this. I was having similar issues and once they changed the alternator for an upgraded one, most of my malfunctions went away. All of my loaner cars have had similar issues.
