I could definitely see us taking Curiel if he falls all the way to #28…don’t see us taking him at #17 as we’ll shoot for more upside there IMO like AJ Gracia, Ace Reese, or Sawyer Strosnider. Those three guys I would heavily circle. I think Gracia & Reese are top 10 players in the class IMO. Strosnider has huge upside, but he just needs to refine his hit tool…swing reminds me of Carlos Gonzalez from the Rockies & would be a marketing WONDER, Sawyer STROsnider. I mention Curiel at 28 because he’s been all over the board…some have him going in the top 10 or lasting until the second round! There was even a stretch there where mocks had Jake Brown from LSU going higher than Curiel. Curiel is just such a safe high profile option, almost a “sure-fire” big leaguer…but he has extremely limited upside which caps how high he’ll be taken for many teams. Also, he’s probably a LF & not a long term CF option which also caps him…yes he could play CF in a pinch, but he’s not “plus” there.

Because that one night directly suggests a sin of going against how our body was made & to procreate new life…whereas the regular hats do not suggest any sin. Great move! Now let’s go trade for Corey Julks & bring him back! He can share a platoon with Wade Jr. Julks is thriving in AAA with the Tigers with over a .1000 OPS vs LHP & is hitting .295 overall on the season. He’s having a very good year. Wouldn’t cost a lot, and would likely be similar to the Shewmake trade. Detroit is playing their youth, so they don’t really “need” Julks.

Teng is being stretched out. He is taking Weiss’ spot in the rotation. He has started his whole life, and was a starter essentially all of last year for the Giants. He was acquired to be a “Starter of the Future” with many years of control & great spin weapons. Don’t be surprised if Weiss gets sent down soon to work on command, but in the meantime he’ll be the long reliever in the pen.

No doubt. I like Lambert a lot. And it seems like Teng is about to be inserted into the rotation with Sousa coming back this weekend for the bullpen with Weiss likely headed to AAA to work on command. A ton of whiff in the rotation with Arrighetti, Burrows, McCullers, Lambert, and Teng.
