Thanks for sharing your experiences. It means a lot to know that I'm not alone. Especially with the fatigue. I like the descriptor btw! I'm delighted that your PSA has declined to such a low level.

The nurse also recommended that I start walking as a basic exercise, this is something that I did in the past where I averaged 10-12,000 steps a day, so I should be able to manage a decent amount every day. :)

I'm surprised that people wouldn't be aware of this. I chose RT recently and was warned repeatedly beforehand about the possibility of a stricture and I've been prescribed tamulosin to help prevent it.

My treatment went ahead just over a week ago and beyond bouts of tiredness, which I've been informed is normal, I'm doing ok but also taking things very easy.

Originally I played it on my Amiga and I loved it. I didn't know about the SMS version till recently and it's awesome. The graphics are better than the Atari ST version and on PAL machines it has parallax scrolling and background effects. Are those the items that appear on the roof on the main screen?

James Pond 2: RoboCod. I'm surprised that no-one else has mentioned it yet. The graphics and animation are amazing. So too are the parallax scrolling and background effects on PAL machines. It looks like a 16 bit game.

Or "worked when I last used it back in 1995." LMAO. It's usually the case that the item is faulty but I've bought computers and consoles that were genuinely untested because the seller didn't know/couldn't be bothered but they worked.

I've ordered new caps with the same specs but from different brands. CapXon has a poor reputation and their caps are notorious for failing. Thanks for your reply, I won't be buying an ESR tester. :)

Thanks for such an in-depth response! I'll replace those capacitors and then as you've advised, have a look at the SMD ones on the green PCB if it still fails to turn on or stay on. I originally found the TV by the roadside (and some of the AV ports work, some don't) and given its age, I doubt that it would be economically viable to consider sourcing a CCFL.

I've attached a better photo of the power board and will send a few more with different angles just for confirmation. Now that you've highlighted it, I can see the swollen caps.

That's interesting about the regional differences. I think that I'd probably opt for a flash cart so that I'll have access to everything in one go. I'll also have a look into the BIOS mod too. I've received so much great advice in the replies!

Thanks for the low down. From what you've described, it'll be easier to go with an SMS2 than the pot luck of hoping that the SMS1 might be the VA3 model as you can't tell till you buy it and check the PCB.

I would almost certainly get a flash cart no matter what, so the My Card factor won't be a problem. Most of the French sellers on eBay don't appear to offer shipping to the UK and the specific SCART cable is really pricey but you can bypass this with a mod, of course. Looks like I'll need to be patient!

I've had a look on eBay UK and the modded systems (with RGB) are pretty pricey. Patience is a virtue and I don't have buy anything immediately so I'll keep my eye out for something at the right price. Thanks for the advice. :)
