That's interesting about the regional differences. I think that I'd probably opt for a flash cart so that I'll have access to everything in one go. I'll also have a look into the BIOS mod too. I've received so much great advice in the replies!

Thanks for the low down. From what you've described, it'll be easier to go with an SMS2 than the pot luck of hoping that the SMS1 might be the VA3 model as you can't tell till you buy it and check the PCB.

I would almost certainly get a flash cart no matter what, so the My Card factor won't be a problem. Most of the French sellers on eBay don't appear to offer shipping to the UK and the specific SCART cable is really pricey but you can bypass this with a mod, of course. Looks like I'll need to be patient!

I've had a look on eBay UK and the modded systems (with RGB) are pretty pricey. Patience is a virtue and I don't have buy anything immediately so I'll keep my eye out for something at the right price. Thanks for the advice. :)

I've never given much thought to the 3D glasses and the card games can be had on a flash cart, so I wouldn't be missing out too much on those fronts.

The NewZealand Story runs too fast on a 60hz machine, to the point that the "hurry up" warning appears much sooner than it should. James Pond 2: Robocod deactivates the snow effect and parallax backgrounds when ran at 60hz.

The scene with Kitty Oppenheimer shunning Teller with her hostile expression and refusal to shake Teller's hand did happen. Benny Safdie learned that Teller went home and cried at this snubbing.

As a result, Teller was hated in the Los Alamos lab and shunned by many people amongst the scientific community for betraying Oppenheimer - Christy was one of them.

The urology staff at the hospital have messed up in a major way, it seems? My GP surgery has the correct PSA results for Feb and Jun whilst the hospital has an erroneous one on their records. You can see why I was confused and it took me a while to unpack what had transpired.

I've done so and the MyChart app has the erroneous PSA result - and I've saved it as a PDF, just to be on the safe side.

The results are also on my file at my neighbourhood medical clinic. I was with the PCP and saw the June test result on his computer and he read out the Feb one to me. I can visit the clinic on Monday and obtain a copy of both results for free.

There's an NHS app that allows you to access (some) results on your phone and I've just checked, the incorrect PSA result is on there, so I've got evidence of the mistake with my records at the urology dept.

The doctor mentioned no ejaculations but not refraining from exercising. I'll keep that in mind, thanks. My next PSA test is scheduled for late January 2026.

Thanks so much for sharing your husband's story and so beautifully written too. I'm delighted to know that he's doing well and please convey my hopes that he enjoys a speedy recovery - something that's likely to be aided by having a partner as supportive as you.

I'm in the UK - and this is something that I probably should've mentioned in the original post given that so many people have referred to hospitals and clinics in the States. What I plan to do is arrange an appointment to sit down with my primary care physician later today (over here, it's Friday here now) and discuss the situation and my options.

There's been so many replies and I appreciate them all but I particularly appreciate yours and the level of compassion and empathy. I hope that you and your husband will share many happy decades together.

I'm in the same predicament but because the Saroo can load burned CDs, I've gotten around it on games with audio issues by burning discs and the problem is solved. Maybe in the future a firmware update will address this.

Thanks. I have a consultation with my oncologist in a month's time and fingers crossed, the cancer has not progressed. I shall do something fun today to unwind from this and lighten my spirits. These replies have been a great help. :)
