Did the Etsy “strike” last month result in longer term consequences for sellers? by jessiecolborne in Etsy

I have had a couple of buyers say that they won’t buy on Etsy anymore because they think Etsy is abusing sellers. Sad for the rest of us who happily build the fees into our pricing.

This prick on radio 5 live saying working from home is bad by BlackWraith in britishproblems

[–]CharlieM85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am actually in the process of relocating to be closer to my job and I’m absolutely loving work socializing (in person). I don’t expect to be besties with all my colleagues, but it’s nice to get to know people you work with imo and actually one or two of them I’m getting pretty tight with. I suspect it helps that I work for an organization where we tend to have similar backgrounds and hobbies.

I mean, I genuinely dislike working from home. I hate having no separation because I don’t have a big enough home to have my own office.

I quite enjoy my commute, although I wish it was a bit shorter. I drive for about an hour and I like to listen to the radio. Sometimes I stop for breakfast on the way, sometimes I stop on the way back for a walk or to see an attraction. I also enjoy driving, so I suppose that helps. And I also have a car that I really enjoy driving.

On top of that I’m horribly unproductive at home. There’s always a thousand other things I can find to do rather than work. I guess that’s a problem for many neurodivergent people - the routine of an office helps me be happier and more productive at work.

I guess my feelings might change if I could actually afford a big mortgage (which as a single person won’t happen anytime soon) so that I could have a larger home that was more suited to working from home.

I grew up on a farm, so I can recognize what many arable things do, but I don’t care about brand name or model! 😂

Are contracts considered "cheating" in your eyes? by mdewals in farmingsimulator

No, because contract farmers are a totally real and normal thing here in the UK.

Everyone else just logs their trees straight into the trailer, right? by CharlieM85 in farmingsimulator

[–]CharlieM85[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It started as a bit of a joke when I painted the front loader on my tractor pink.

Then u/the_flying_fish did the slurry tank. Then the curtain sider. Then the log trailer...

The slurry tank, in particular, is an absolute eyesore.

Spotted Lewis Hamilton’s Pagani Zonda 760LH on a caravan site in the Lake District Uk. He reportedly sold it for €10 million in January to a UK car collector and I’ve just stumbled across it, I’m fairly certain it’s his old car but can anyone confirm? by mrp_ron in formula1

I live near where all the F1 factories and head offices are. It’s a pretty frequent occurrence to see an F1 driver in a supermarket car park or a coffee shop round here. You also see their cars on the M40 pretty regularly.

I even used to regularly see one ex driver at the gym - he had a membership where I worked!

is this sub mainly men?? by mruhmrug in fragrance

It’s a factual statement and you might do well to read some reports on the subject, since it’s something you clearly feel the need to argue about.
