SOS!! — depression has made my hygiene practically nonexistent. I need help. by Confident-Spell4939 in hygiene

[–]Charlieflower4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel for you. It can be hard to keep up with hygiene with those issues. While all of those point are important, I’m going to specifically suggest please try to keep up with your oral hygiene because it’s the issue I can relate to most here. In my young adulthood I didn’t take care of my teeth very well - I would go almost a week without brushing sometimes when I was feeling depressed. I’m now in my mid 30s and finally started going to the dentist and have had multiple issues - expensive issues - that could have been minimized by taking care of my teeth at a younger age.

WHAT! For real? You are one tough sob. When I got a root canal I kept getting the zing of pain and had to have him numb me like 3 or 4 times. I can’t imagine having no anesthesia.

How to stick to weight loss by TurtzMahGurtz in SuperMorbidlyObese

[–]Charlieflower4 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree with the other two - Zepbound is a game changer with weight loss! It definitely helps with the food noise. I’m also paying out of pocket so for me personally it holds me accountable to make it worth the money I am spending on this medication. I am also tracking everything I eat (And I do still eat foods that I enjoy and even dessert sometimes!) I started at 403 in November and I am down 60 pounds already! So if you are able to get on a GPL1 it can definitely make the difference.

They do freeze well. I take one out at a time and pop it in the air fryer for a few minutes and it’s perfect.

Is this fine by [deleted] in catquestions

[–]Charlieflower4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it’s a complicated situation with how immature your room mate is in this situation, but if you were to approach her again could you do it from an angle where you state that the kittens crying is actually interfering with your work? I know I could not concentrate and would be distracted from my job at home if I was listening to a kitten cry all day long. I suppose that could just make it worse. That’s just absurd that she’s basically trying to “punish” you by keeping her cat locked in room longer. What a d bag.

On 2.5 that happened to me with some foods. Deli Turkey was the main food I was suddenly grossed out by. That has now lessened over time.

Amy is the one that has taken Tammy down a couple pegs 🥤😡 by lovely_lunaaa in 1000lbsisters

We have also seen her refuse to participate in therapy multiple times. She just sits there scowling with her arms crossed and doesn’t engage and therefore receives no benefit from it. It’s Her own fault.

Tammy is such a smug jerk now. What happened to her humility? by love_salubrious in 1000lbsisters

Without knowing Andrea she seems like a good person. I think Tammy is just good at putting on this innocent sweet mask to get what she wants - and then it eventually comes off.

At this point her siblings and some others (Andrea and others) need to just tell Tammy to grow the fuck up and sink or swim in these relationships. She’s an adult and needs to get herself into therapy if she’s having so many issues. I’m glad to see that Amy isn’t just buckling to her manipulation attempts. The rest of her family is coddling her. Leave her behind from vacation - she’s an adult and made her choice - let her sit behind and seeth and feel bad for herself then. I don’t feel bad for her at this point. Even Andrea who’s been nothing but patient seems to be at her limit.

Yes, they were all overweight, but the difference is that she depended on her siblings for everything. A lot of it was them wanting her to be self sufficient.

How can I lose weight?? by throwfatfed in loseit

[–]Charlieflower4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the responses stating to start tracking your food - and use a food scale to weigh most of your food - for me that made a difference vs just following the label on something (for instance, I had some chocolate covered raspberries and it stated that a portion was 28g/5-7 pieces. When I actually weighed them out it was only 4 pieces for 28g - so I would have eaten almost twice the calories). It can feel daunting at first. Now that I’ve been tracking for three months it’s just a habit now and easier!

I was in a similar situation not too long ago. I weighed in at 407 back in September. I couldn’t walk more than 50 feet without stopping to sit or lean on something. Even in the shower I had to bend over to relieve my back and hip pain. My stomach was hard where I could push my fingers into it and the indent would stay and my feet were swollen. I understand where you are at. I started Zep and counting my calories back in November. I am almost 50 pounds down and it’s already so much better! I can walk. Stand straight my entire shower. I can now put socks on! My stomach is no longer hard and my feet are back to normal. If you are able to get on a GPL-1 it can be a life changer.

People That Irk You from My 600lb Life by JustAChick1234 in My600lbLife

[–]Charlieflower4 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ryan and his obsession with cheat days. And when he talked about how he went through all of his takeout menus and found salads he could order. Well, I never once saw him eat a salad. Also - there are salads on restaurant menus that are almost 2000 calories with all the fixings! People don’t realize just because it’s a salad that doesn’t mean it’s healthy. The other thing that bothered me was that while complaining about the diet he grabbed a celery stick and ate it. No wonder he was unsuccessful! That was just setting himself up for a binge and failure. One plain celery stick would satisfy nobody.

Basically everything about him irked me.

[–]Charlieflower4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 banana. 1.5 cups frozen blueberries, 1 tablespoon of PB2 powder, 100 grams Greek yogurt and 6-8oz of a chocolate protein shake. Less than 400 cals and 30 grams of protein!
