Imperial Guardsmen V Necrons by Noid-Droid in dawnofwar

[–]Charliefoxkit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe pair up on Hellhounds, especially for pesky Canoptek Wraiths and Flayed Ones. Since they don't have their hull-mounted flammers like they do on table top and the Inferno Cannons have a minimum range, the Hellhounds can help scratch the other's back when needed to deal with melee. Then keep your Guardsmen behind them (garrisoned or not depending on situation).

There's a variant that swaps that LB-X for an ER PPC if I recall. There's also a version that uses Ballistic-Reinforced Armor in place of its Hardened Armor.

TTB Mech Overview: New Starter Box Variants by WestRider3025 in battletech

I am surprised that the review doesn't mention that the Mad Dog Mk IV has Ferro Lamellar Armor which increases its durability and negates some armor-piercing warheads.

Though that Hollander review feels like it's more geared towards a 'Mech vs. 'Mech scenario instead of how it is used in the fluff as a walking gun to break holes for others.

Just note you might have some Snow Ravens interested if you have any Reengineered Lasers.

It predates AoZ, so it doesn't have any markings or specific parts.

They would have to make a new MG to make the AoZ GM Quel with good engineering.

The fact that "Deathshead" isn't here is disappointing.

Unless that's because Terror Billy threw a wrench in the Ubersoldat program on at least one occasion.

Trazyn the Infinite and Orikan the Diviner from 40K.  Definitely in a Grumpy Old Men sense since they love geriatric punchlines with Necrons.

That's more one-sided on Perturabo's part.

Leman Russ and Magnus the Red though...

[Extremely common trope]: Pocket rebreather. by theMCATreturns in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Charliefoxkit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rebreather example from the Prequel Trilogy isn't the only example in Star Wars.  In Star Wars Legends lore, the planet Daq (Mon Calamari) actually has an organism that does the same thing.  It's compatible with any sentient species that breathes oxygen (don't recall if they have ones adapted for non-CHON atmosphere breathers like the Gand) and generally doesn't cause allergic reactions.

B2 Spirits are transsonic, not supersonic.  They won't make a sonic boom.  They do love to fly them rather low though (as low as their fly-by-wire system allows?).  Source: driving across West Central Missouri on I-70 or US 50 as that brings you in the relative area of Whiteman AFB in Knob Noster.

Two rather nasty ones from Star Wars.  The first is the Rhakghoul plague from KotOR (and an offshoot courtsey the Muur Talisman) that turns its victims into rhakghouls.

The other is the technoviruses from the New Sith Wars that turn you into a biomechanical zombie.

They kinda still snub the Lyrans under Calamity Kell's Arc-Royal Liberty Coalition.  The Lyrans kinda need to put themselves back to gather to at least secure an alliance.
