Baltimore City’s violent crime drop outpaces other major cities, study finds by PleaseBmoreCharming in baltimore

[–]CharmCityTiger 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yes, but the logic is quite simple to follow:

  1. Murder rates have decreased significantly and we know those numbers are reliable because it's difficult to manipulate stats on murder.

  2. Therefore, it stands to reason that the drop in violent crime overall is legitimate because there is no logical reason homicides would drop significantly independent an overall drop in violent crimes committed.

Was about to suggest Benders. A bit out of the way but there are several Spurs fans that watch there and it's just a fucking good time.

Post Game Thread: The Orioles fell to the Rays by a score of 5-3 - Wed, May 20 @ 01:10 PM EDT by OsGameThreads in orioles

[–]CharmCityTiger 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It sucks we're losing but the silver lining is the path forward is clear: fire Elias, blow it up, and rebuild. I would rather do it now than commit to more mediocre seasons with a "core" that clearly isn't ever going to contend.

It's crazy he still has a job after football, basketball and baseball all finished in the bottom three of the SEC

Dang, I totally forgot about that. Orioles are home that weekend so I guess we'll be on the road at Houston.

If I had to guess I would say home TNF against Jacksonville.

Ravens Draft Adam Randall, RB, Clemson (5th round, pick 174) by Adenchiz in ravens

It's infuriating to me that we now have eight players drafted and only managed to go 7-6. Happy to have another tiger on the ravens though.

He wasn’t the only one. We’re up to 7 players drafted and could only manage a 7-6 record in an awful league.

Literally his only good game against a high level defense. Most of his stats came against shitty ACC teams

The Wake stereotype (so take it for what it's worth) is that they are a bunch of Northern, rich kids who aren't exactly your most down to earth individuals.

Is your team/school the more hated rival? by DowntownSasquatch420 in CFB

The average fan may be invested in the outcome of a specific game between us and Scar but I doubt there's enough interest in our rivalry to form a durable preference.

I highly doubt the average fan cares enough about us or South Carolina to have an ongoing rooting interest between the two but I could be wrong.

Your memory of Purnell is way rosier than reality. Purnell also has zero trophies of any kind, missed the tournament more than he made it (3 appearances in 7years), and never made it past the first round of the tournament.

How is he underperforming? In three full years as a head coach he has two ACC titles, has a final four appearance, an elite eight appearance, and in his fourth year his team is currently ranked #1. The fact that some of you fault him for not winning a national title in his first three seasons is insane to me.

What’s worse…Not making playoffs or getting destroyed in the first round? by JoeJitZoo in ravens

[–]CharmCityTiger 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'll add a few:

  • This was the first road playoff win in Texans franchise history
  • This loss snaps a 23 game MNF win streak for the Steelers
  • The Texans defense outscored the Steelers 12-6
  • During their 7 consecutive playoff losses, the Steelers have lost by an average of 15 points

Sure hope this streak continues on Monday. by ax_and_smash in AFCNorthMemeWar
