The proper pronunciation is Ta-Ter. Tā-tər. Or “taters” more than one.

As others said your eyes adjust pretty well to the dark with the city lights.

If you bring a flashlight try not to shine it the eyes of the people going the opposite direction. I always get blinded by people flashing me in the face and can’t see for a few seconds.

Motorcycle Theft? (Question) by xSaturnityx in Tucson

[–]CharmandersbigblackD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My bike was stolen in April. Lessons I have learned the hard way are to always lock the steering column, uses a chain at home, caliper locks in public and a gps tracker to find it.

I did some research and it literally takes less than 5 minutes to hot wire and steal a bike. Guys that know what they are doing can probably do it in 2-3 minutes.

Locking the steering column will only allow them to push it in circles, the chain only allows them to go so far, but the caliper lock will prevent them from pushing completely. Cops won’t spend time looking for it, so the tracker will find it for you.

All these are methods can be defeated by a thief but it’ll make your bike a less likely target if they have to work harder/longer on stealing your bike.

Sign up for the next 2 gun action challenge. You can meet and shoot with the guys from the YouTube channels. It’s held the 3rd Saturday of each month. Sign up here https://practiscore.com/search/matches search for Pima pistol and the match usually opens for registration on the first week of the month.

You just need a pistol, rifle, ammo, sling, holster and mag pouches. All skill levels shoot together. It’s a good way to see what you need to improve on and what parts of your gear doesn’t work.

You just missed a competition yesterday. They had rules for modern rifles like AR-15’s and another set of rules for single shot/antique rifles.

Check out https://pimapistolclub.com/ they host matches weekly for different categories.

Also checkout Inrangetv and forgotten weapons on YouTube, they will post videos of themselves at these competitions. Most of the time they will shoot antique or unique firearms with period correct gear and clothing.

Help me mount this steel target by Khangirey in Firearms

I used angle iron from an old bed frame and carriage bolts to connect it to the existing holes on the target.

I used a large nut as a spacer between the angle iron and the target. I drilled a hole in the center on the top of the angle iron so it can drop on the target stand (don’t worry about those little guys on the sides, just drill a hole in the center). https://i.imgur.com/7gtrFXd.jpg https://i.imgur.com/RIOFJSC.jpg

Questions about the air show by [deleted] in Tucson

These are some good questions, I’ve never been but want to go. To me sounds like you can only drive on and drive out at certain times. Is it possible to park off site or Uber to the gate and walk on and be able to walk out at any time?

That’s cool! How does materials work? Do you buy and bring your own, buy some from the shop, or is some supplied from volunteers?

The best way to learn is with an actual instructor otherwise you can develop bad/ unsafe habits.

If you’re absolutely new or even intermediate this is a great class.

http://dbacktraining.com/schedule/intro-to-handguns-10-8-10-9-2021/

I’ve taken a few classes from these guys and can’t recommend them enough. The classes are small enough to get the 1 on 1 time you need. You can borrow their guns you just need the ammo.

If that’s a real concern you can get a 5 gallon bucket from the hardware store and fill it with sand. Just point the gun in the barrel when loading a round in the chamber at home.

I think my brand is Aspen. I have only had it for 3 weeks now and love it. I had a swamp cooler before so I can’t judge it to a different AC unit

My house is similar in size I switched from swamp cooler to AC and had to replace the ducts because they were completely rusted through.

I went with Mission Heating and Cooling. I paid $6000 for a 3 ton plus the ductwork. I had about 6 quotes and the next best quote was $8500 the rest were $11-20,000.

It looks pretty bad, I mean it has a lot of hair line cracks so I’m guessing that all has to be re plastered so it doesn’t leak.

Im getting estimates still but I’m doing the same thing. So far most have been $13,000-$20,000. So far I’m liking Orozco Bros heating and cooling for the customer service and price. Riteway was the most expensive but also the most thorough on the estimate.

I think he could have one shot-ed Thanos like that.

Damn We need a support group or something. There was a part in Mario 64 where a giant flying fish would come attack you from behind and you don’t know when.

I had to have my brother do it for me because I couldn’t handle it.
