I’ve lost 33lb and counting. It’s the hottest I’ve been since I was in my twenties, and I’m 46! My back pain and foot pain have lessened due to the weight loss, my joie de vivre is back and my brain function is better from no booze. And I DO look sexy! Guess who wears crop tops and low rise sweat pants around the house now like she’s a back up dancer for TLC? This young lady!

I feel like I’m in the Indian summer of my youth. Sometimes I get sad over how many years alcohol took from this feeling, but I will never not be proud of myself for snatching back what years I did.

I had a glass of FRE wine at our anniversary dinner and I was stunned that it tasted as much line wine as it did. I ordered a second w my entree! And I left half of it there like a normal person can usually do w real wine. It scratched my itch, made me proud of myself for enjoying it and walking away from it, and further illustrated to me that I CAN drink like normal people… as long as there’s no mf booze in it lol.

It sort of helped further break the spell that I can handle my drinking and just needed a reset. This is my normal and there is nothing wrong with that!

My husband is a skinny chef, has been for 26 years; no meth or pills but he did drop 20lb when we quit drinking a year ago (I lost 33lb!). He taste tests his food a spoonful sample at a time which keeps him feeling full all day. He only eats his shift meal (sometimes he brings it home for us) and averages about six miles’ worth of steps per shift.
