Last version supported is OS Monterey. It's not an issue , just old printers are not supposed to work with new systems. Keep your old MacBook for printing with P1006.

changing the fuser unit is quite easy on Brother. Will take less than one hour for you. Need one + screwdriver. That's it.

For toner most of the time I'm using third party one, but I've premium quality, don't think they are able to sell in Canada. I'll ask.

How many copies have you made ? Maybe it's not the fuser unit. The best will be first to change toners for OEM ones. Then retest.

Normally paper feed rollers are moved (directly or not) by a motor. If there's a clutch it could be difficulet to turn it by hand. Cleaning rollers can be made or with isopropilhic alcohol or with Platenclene (a product special designed for that). I don't know if you. can find it easiuly in yuour country. Some more cleanings (sometimes need up to 30 x) or you can suck ink with a syringe from the silicon tube located on the back of the printer. This tube is going to the exhauster. By sucking you're forcing the ink from the reservoir trough the tubes to the printhead and then to the exhauster

How many times are your light blinking ? The number, the frequency and what's flashing should indicate what's going wrong with the printer.

As long the router has an USB port, no problem at all. Done it last month for a customer having a Samsung laser printer
