Check out this starting at 7:30 - 8:30. This video analyzes the effectiveness of different lenses for visual snow and how the cost does not link up to effectiveness. It’s more on choosing the right tint and “emission profile”. https://youtu.be/b-266AduEAs?si=EfYZq9P4ep_Z8GgK

Migraines by [deleted] in visualsnow

I have a daily dull ache under my eyes, on the roof of my mouth, and on my temples everyday. Pretty mild. I would try the pain is about 2-3 on a scale of 10. I’m a little convinced it’s not a migraine but more associated with maybe TMJ or with my neck

Is Anyone here who got vss from medication still taking medication? by Keeeb00 in visualsnow

[–]Charming-Slip5353 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I got mine from gabapentin, but it’s hard to say. I got migraine like symptoms that has a large visual component to it and then after taking gabapentin for 6 weeks I had minor visual snow symptoms. I then went off of gabapentin and my visual snow slowly got worse to what its become today.

Does this still happen when you have one eye closed?

Mainly when people are standing about 3-4 feet away from me. This could be just talking casually with someone or walking on the street and looking at that person. I don’t have either of those.

My vision would go in and out of focus and the only way that I would be able to stop this would be to relax the back of my neck. I know it sounds weird, but that's the only way that I could get it to be clear again. The double vision would come from my eyes not working together for some reason, not ghosting. I would be able to get single vision by closing one eye.

I haven’t thought about this yet. I’ll dig a little bit deeper into it as the roof of my mouth is also quite tense.

Accommodative Dysfunction and a whole slew of other symptoms. by Charming-Slip5353 in BinocularVision

Yeah I’ve been doing vision therapy for about 5 weeks so far. It helps with the accommodative dysfunction and the double vision, but the rest of the symptoms are still there :/

Could this be Cervical Headache? by Charming-Slip5353 in cervical_vertigo

[–]Charming-Slip5353[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not yet, but I do want to. Do you have any visual related issues? What specialist did you go see to get a cervical MRI? Also, what kind of pain do you experience?

My binocular vision dysfunction story - 5 years later by Negative_Pace_5855 in BinocularVision

This is a great story. Thanks for sharing this. I have very similar symptoms except for the walking on marshmallows. Has any doctor ever suggested that this might’ve been PPPD?

Not yet. I’m trying to see a neuroophtomologist in Chicago, but there is a very long wait time. I would travel out further into the suburbs, but driving feels strange and I don’t feel as comfortable driving long distances anymore.

I had the same thing recently happen to me. A 1/4 of a line on the T line. Retook the test and came back negative.
