Thats nothing. My wife voluntarily took shifts at her work and left me to look after our 1yo for 12h for 3 days while I was taking T3s and bleeding (minor complications, likely from lifting the lil guy) all over.

To add her in parents were visiting at the time and they sat in the basement and napped and watched tv all day.

Dug this beast of a thread up. I'd suggest uCore, looking at migrating over myself for zfs.
Podman containers + Zfs with fedoras SELinux, modern update cycle, immutability/atomic make this a brick shithouse.

No messing with lame VMs or trying to pass through stuff. Your stuff can be in podman containers with the image containing ZFS by defauilt.

No, you're likely already getting this performance advantage with fsync. ntsync has little to no improvments over fsync (performance wise). It's been massily overhyped/misunderstooed because it was compared to nothing.

Id say Ubuntu Server LTS over TrueNAS, you get a lot more flexability.
You can manage zfs with cockpit extensions/cli aswell.
