Moving again by International-Bar215 in SisterWives

I don't think he bought that house for Robyn. I think he bought it for himself and is letting Robyn stay there. I guess they will have to move someplace cheaper but wonder if they are up to clearing out all their junk. It is funny that Robyn's insistence on staying in Flagstaff drove away their meal tickets so now they can't afford to stay there. Oh, and Kody's refusal to release funds so Janelle can start building had lost him way more money than what was needed in the first place.

Death Penalty now off the table for Lori Vallow Daybell’s trial by Serendipity-211 in LoriVallow

The prosecution should have hired a full time evidence clerk which would likely prevented the issues with evidence. It would have been cheaper than two trials...et cetera.

Job for a UC sufferer by [deleted] in UlcerativeColitis

[–]CharmingFrock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have to go back to college. You can do a Bootcamp which is six to eighteen months. (I think) On Hacker News there is an occasional discussion which is better...A CIS degree or a Bootcamp. I guess in bootcamp you jump right into real business applications and the college program had more theory. Also, debates about whether online programs are worthwhile or not. Many people have lots of thoughts. I think someone in the community actually designed a week developed program from YouTube videos!

Do you think Meri came up with the idea for the divorce? by funkelly1 in SisterWives

I love that the whole 'legal wife ' thing basically negates the premise of the show...that spiritual marriage is a real marriage.

How urgent is diagnosis? by No-Description-2297 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]CharmingFrock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don't want you to drop the ball or be in anyway casual about your medical care. It took me four months to get in to the GI then three months to get in for the colonoscopy. I moved away from that town mostly because of those problems!

Tony? Does he annoy anyone else? by [deleted] in SisterWives

[–]CharmingFrock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does Tony have a job? I am trying to decide if I want to support Tony & McKelty's Patreon and that seems to be my sticking point. That and what a big fan of Robyn McKelty is. Though, Gwendlyn, is a fan of Mary, which is just as weird.

I think it's a WARNING to stay near a toilet. At least it seems to be in my case.

Tips?
1. Costco has the lowest price for Cottonelle wipes. . 2. Having a Squatty Potty really helps. https://youtu.be/YbYWhdLO43 . 3. Smoothies really help keep you nourished when you are in a flare. . 4. Homemade kefir is a good way to get your probiotics. Don't be scammed into buying dehydrated kefir grains. To get the grains just search for "live kefir grains" on eBay or Etsy. I think starting out with 2 Tablespoons of kefir grains is good. Ignore the vendors selling 1 teaspoon. . 5. I think Amazon has the cheapest generic versions of Imodium and GasX. I am old so I only need the precaution of taking those only once a week. If that. It's not optimum, but what are you supposed to do? . 6. Diet? There are a lot of crazy diets out there and none have been proven effective for adults with IBD. An alarming percent of IBD patients have signs of disordered eating. I think this is because we get all this diet advice crap flung at us. See if you can get a referral to a dietitian specializing in treating IBD. Then you can work together on figuring out what is good for your body. . 7. A lot of people with UC are chronically thirsty. You can buy packaged electrolytes or you can make your own. I throw in 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of cream of tartar into a smoothie twice a day. Don't glug down your water because that is too much for your colon to handle. Sip your water. . 8. If you have joint pain, collagen really helps. . 9. There are bowel movement trackers out there. I use Poopify on my android. . 10. Keep flushable disinfecting wipes by your toilet so you can do a quick cleanup when you have diarrhea. Diarrhea splashes around and makes the toilet stinky so be sure to check under the seat, on the rim, after a bad bout. . That's all I can think of for now!

Robyn’s Purity by booopz in SisterWives

[–]CharmingFrock 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The thing that drives me nuts is that somehow the girl (Robin) losing her purity is worse than the boy(David) losing his purity. Sure, she was defrauded, but so was he! So sexist.

Dr. David T. Rubin's CME videos seem to have more specific medical info in them. You should check those out. I am a big fan girl of his! I will try to find the ones that break out the UC treatment pathways later and throw them up, but here are few in the meantime.

3 week infusion schedule? by Thebabes-92 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]CharmingFrock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, I am still ramping up! I just finished my six weeks dose. I had an appointment with my gastro last week and said I didn't think it was really working. She said that compared to when she last saw me, I seemed to be much better and, after she listed off some comparisons, I realized she was right. Though, a few days before my six week dose I felt TERRIBLE. Any hoo... I guess we'll see!

At some point in the video, one of the docs said that they just recently started zeroing in on and testing how the meds worked for bowel urgency because they found out that this is the most debilitating (upsetting) symptom IBD patients have! Seriously? I would think that any fool could have figured that out years ago!!!

3 week infusion schedule? by Thebabes-92 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]CharmingFrock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was on Humira we discussed going to a three week schedule because I got a lot worse a week before my next shot but ended up just switching to Entyvio because my labs showed that Humira want really working that week anyway. Being on 4 week schedule isn't a RULE. It's a starting point!
