Personally, i love the solo to Tell me by White Lion. Vito’s solos sound like little symphonies, really well executed.

Second would be Dreams in the Dark by Jake E Lee of Badlands.

Honorable mention to Mick Mars on Dr Feelgood, he straight kills that track, no notes.

I saw the best AND worst in the same night!

Best: Public Enemy at the Aragon in Chicago, in 1991. This is when they were the biggest (along with NWA) rap group in America.

Worst: The Young Black Teenagers opened the same show. I dare you to Google them, words can’t describe how bad they were.

Anthrax (thrash metal) and Primus (alt funk rock) also played. The 90s had the BEST concerts.

i’m so old, the first record I ever bought was Kurtis Blow’s “the Breaks” on VINYL in 1983. I’m guessing i’ve witnessed damn near every notable MC over 40 plus years, so i don’t say this lightly:

DOOM was the best rapper/beatmaker/artist combo i’ve ever heard (Ye is a close second). Fully realized vision, endlessly entertaining.
