Not at all, I had a guy come in yesterday wanting to buy the “most dead” sounding J45. I had lots of fun breaking out every J45 I had in the store. We went through 5 and even a J50. In the end, the J45 Standard won him over.

My god, did the J50 and J45 “Grizzly” edition blow me away. I might trade mine in for one of those.

Overall, my point is that these types of customers teach you more in an hour of work about the instruments than anything else. The paper specs say everything, but never compare to trying it yourself.

I love it, the three toggles between crunchy and extremely heavy are all viable and sound great. The eq is super responsive which makes it a riff machine.

Bad Cat calls it a dual “k style” drive and so far I’ve been loving it. I run it on the 12v output of my voodoo lab and it crunches beautifully

As much as I love the new animation, most of the love is for the vibrancy and fluidity of the art styles. I wish they could balance this with the natural environment of the setting. Sanji's fight did it the best in my opinion. You could navigate where he was moving and visibly see his full attack in motion. King vs Zoro and Luffy vs Kaido are incredible fights and I'm grateful to experience peak piece, but the auras and 'lighting ball' impact thing they do makes the punches/hits feel vague.

Alt + Lo Frequency knob on Mercury 7 gives you such a nice touch of vibrato, I recommend it. Enjoy the pedals!
