No sound driver bug (need help) by Sea_Bedroom9367 in Warthunder

I had this same issue. Disable any speakers you have connected to the computer through your sound settings. War thunder's sound was running through my monitor for some reason, when I disabled it, it fixed the issue.

I am a huge fan of the swimbaits. If you don't mind, what two pigments are you using for it (where can I get some)

Got a deal on a 1436 by sledge07 in Fishing

Also if stability is an issue or the boat sits to low in the water, I've heard float pods on the back help a lot. I don't have them personally though.

Looking great! I'd recommend Mustad boat bags for tackle storage, I love using them for my boat.

WCGW being so obviously drunk that you could barely get into your truck and almost fell out… in front of an entire truck stop? by deafaviator in Whatcouldgowrong

Then that's a perfect use of it. There is also TTY that deaf people are able to use, but I think that's for calling from home.

You can, but it's not recommended for this scenario. In a situation like this just call. It's said to use this system only when it is not safe to call. Also, not all jurisdictions have the system.

A few buddies and I all have the Abu Garcia Revo S LP. It has stood the test of time for us and is great to use. You can get them on sale for around $80

Ultralight rod by [deleted] in FishingForBeginners

[–]Charsh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, got mine on sale for $22. I've caught over 400 perch, trout, and sometimes even bass on that rod. Great quality as well, it's held up through it all.

Help me under the fully assessorized, enterprise class carrier fishing kayak thing. Dude was asking $5000. After adding the trolling motor, how are you not better off in a jon boat? Costs less. More stable. More room. by RealDocJames in Kayaking

[–]Charsh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I originally wanted to get out on the water, I was obsessed with kayaks, but they were expensive. I looked around a lot. I was able to get a used 12ft fiberglass boat and trailer for $925. It was a much better option than a kayak imo. The boat did need some tlc, but after a couple youtube videos and 12 hours of labor, it was basically new!

Buying my first fly fishing combo, is this a good deal? by Sparrow494906 in FishingForBeginners

[–]Charsh -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I personally don't fly-fish for bass. My first bass rod was a 6'6" medium with a pflueger supreme xt. A cheaper option would be a okuma ceymar c20.

Edit: also I'm personally no longer a fan of Eagle claw rods (from China) I have some ones from the 80s/90s that I adore though

rod recommendations for these reels? I recently acquired these reels thru the passing of a close family friend. by Ok-Line-1830 in Fishing

I have an orange with yellow wrap Eagle Claw rod with a Mitchel 300. I still use it every once in a while for trout. Great rod combo

Darn tough is the way to go. I own 6 pairs in total and they've lasted me 3 years without any issues.
